Default egg donation screwed with my skin. Maca Root to balance my hormones?

Hello everyone. I did an egg donation a couple years ago and my skin has never been the same since. I've had clear skin my whole life until i did the egg donation and now i have hyperpigmentation and acne that comes and goes but never completely goes no matter what i apply to my skin. During the donation i got on and got off birth control, injected meds like lupron and pumped myself with estrogen. I attribute one of these to messing with my hormones and my skin. I'm looking for something that can balance my hormones because topical treatment obviously aren't fixing anything. The last thing I wanna take are bc pills I really don't like them..is there anything natural I can take like Maca Root to help balance my hormones? Thanks

Lauren...depending on if your willing to travel...I could do a color match on your skin...and teach you how to cover up your skin blemishes and hyperpigmentation...where no one will ever notice it. I am a skilled makeup artist specializing in body cover ups in North Carolina.

A professional naturopathic doctor could recommend the ultimate safe treatment. I don't suggest taking a bunch of pills/herbal supplements because you could mess it up and hurt yourself and your body. I know what you mean, hormonal acne is a bitch but a pro naturo doc can treat you safely and effectively.
There's also a really awesome reproductive health tea http://www.ecosex.ca/eco-fertility/fertilitea.html
It would be a good start, it actually helped my skin and cramps personally. It might take some work but they can surely be rebalenced its just a really important thing to take into your own hands.

Good luck and anyone who judges you by your skin is an ignorant douche.

you could search earthclinic.com or curezone.com.

Otherwise, look into chemical peels. I remember reading some people treating their hyperpigmentation on amazon, but I'm sure some were writing that it didn't work.
Not sure if it worked for others. But worth looking on amazon for reviews on glycolic acids and the other types of acid.

Can't say if it'll help but I use udder cream and it's helped with skin issues.

I once considered egg donation years ago and after I heard of all the side effects I decided against it.

It was definitely the Lupron. I've been on it for a year for endometriosis and I've had acne issues on and off. Lupron is a horrible, HORRIBLE drug with so many side effects that last years after you stop taking it. Theres actually a campaign lobbying Congress right now asking them to force TAP/Abbot Pharmaceuticals to fund a long-term study into the side effects because they previously refused. Also, they had to pay out $750 MILLION in damages about 10 years ago for paying kickbacks to doctors for prescribing it.

So a word of advice to anyone reading this...don't ever EVER let a doctor inject you with Lupron. EVER.

    *steps off soapbox*

As for the natural hormone balancing, definitely make an appointment with a natural healing specialist. You don't want to go messing with herbs unless you know what you're doing.

thank you for your suggestions! It didn't even occur to me to see a naturopathic doctor--something to look into. And Princess that is scary about Lupron--the process was definitely no walk in the park, I felt the effects of the hormones and meds for sure. I also started having allergies after doing the donation ):
