I want to travel more and possibly move to another state, and I figured air bnb might be a good short term option for trying out a new location. How will I know if I can get good internet speed? Have any of you done this, and is there any risk involved in this?

I just did a few months ago.
I asked the owner what kind of internet he had prior to going.
Wanted to make sure it wasn't satellite.
The only complaint is that the router was not in my room, so when it went out ( which happened a couple of times), I couldn't work.
I bought a device called GetKarma.com, and also used my phone to tether. ( See comments above).
All in all, I loved staying at the airbnb, and would definitely do it again.

Getkarma is a wifi device that @Whirlez turned me onto.
It looks like this. Data is pricey, but so worth it.
I always keep it as a backup just in case my internet goes down, or for when I'm traveling.

I just got back into camming, but it occurred to me that with the amount a lot of you ladies know about network speeds, interfaces, hardware, etc., most of you that are very experienced could get jobs as network technicians, haha!

hey ladies, cross-posting here from this thread to see if I can find what I'm looking for: https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sh...ewhere-cheaper
I live abroad (from US, have lived and cammed in Panama, Colombia, and Mexico). I was just wondering, is there a way to create a document with a list of countries it's legal to cam in? Now that I have access to the MEX airport, international flights are hella cheap and I'm ready to step up on travel, but want to make sure wherever I go, camming is legal. Been reading through travel camming and living abroad threads, but it'd be so awesome to have all the info on one doc.

Hi all! I made a google doc with a list of all the countries in the world. I figure we could all chip in to share which countries it's legal to cam in, illegal to cam in, and those that have gray areas.
I made a notes area for any insight you can provide regarding working on a tourist visa (please provide information only if you've spoken to an immigration attorney or the immigration department of the country you are providing notes for). If you can also provide information regarding recording clips or anything else like that which would be pertinent to those of us wanting to cam while traveling abroad, it would be extremely valuable information to have at the ready in this document.
Here's the link. It's editable by those with the link. I hope the notes I put on there are pretty straight forward. If not, please ask me and i'll try to get to you an answer right away.

Im not sure if you have to continue to pay taxes in England if you move and work in the canaries full time but that should be super easy to find out but you will have to pay taxes in the canaries of course. You will need to get your NIE first of all. If you set up private health care and then dump like 6000 euros in a spanish bank account its pretty easy. You can borrow the money if you dont have it and then just give it back once you have the NIE, Its just to show you can support yourself. From there you have to apply for the autonomo and register yourself as a business, the fucked up shit is your not actually allowed to cam from home if you do this, technically your suppose to rent another place as an office to cam from but I know lots of people who have done it for years and never been asked about it so its just a risk you take. The shitty part is you cant write your rent off as a business expense like you could in other countries.
You could also just take a boat over and stay there past the three months cause its not like they stamp your passport or anything so they say 3 months but if they cant prove when you arrived your always within your three month limit. With this method you will still be required to pay UK taxes and you will also want to have private health care!
I'm a German living in Paraguay now. Camming isn't possible at most places, because the internet is a joke, but Skype is working most times (if it's not raining *lol). As long as you are not into prostitution, they don't care. Best part is, you don't have to pay taxes for money that's coming from other countries. I've tried to get a tax number to open up a business (like it's usual), but they refused to give, because it's not necessary as long as you don't make "local money". You just need a permission to stay and work. It's very easy to organize.Hi all! I made a google doc with a list of all the countries in the world. has anyone used this wifi global hotspot? I am trying to find information about upload and download speeds but am not getting anywhere :/
https://www.tepwireless.com/wifi/global/
never mind....found the upload(5.76mbps)/download(7.2mbps)...but then found this review on their "unlimited data"
Unlimited data.
"I can’t stand checking my data usage every day, or cringing when I let my kids play with my phone hoping they won’t stream a video over a 3G connection. Since I’ve been using the Tep Wireless I don’t have to worry anymore. It truly is unlimited. No need to try and ration my data usage anymore. If you go a little crazy and use over 300MB of data in 1 day (you’ll have to be trying very hard), the speed is slowed to 512kbs for the rest of the day and returned to full speed the next day. I’ve never gotten close to that limit."

Those of you that are using 4G MiFi, how's your stream quality and data usage? How many gigs do you go through in a day or per hour?
I'm really trying to find a way to not be so restricted when traveling. I'm tired of being stuck in one apartment in a country for an entire year just to get a landlord to sign up for the internet connection I need. It's been about $200/mo in every country I've lived in so far. This makes it super difficult to find the connections I need when traveling on shorter stays to other places via Airbnb.
I think I may have come up with a solution and will be heading to Guatemala towards the end of next week to test it out.
I found 2 different 4G MiFi hotspots, one banded for the Americas and the other for the rest of the globe. I plan to use speedify to combine local connections of where I'm staying so as to not gobble up too much data by streaming solely from the 4G connection. I think I use about 1GB/hour working and plan to work 6hrs/day. Hopefully I don't run into throttling or caps, but I don't think it should be a problem as most providers in Latin America you are able to prepay and if you use up your data, just buy another top-up.
Anyone see any flaws or have any tips for me?
Combine all your internet connection speeds:
http://speedify.com/
MiFi hotspot for Central/South America. This one is available through several different countries throughout Central and South America through mobile providers so I'm sure I'd be able to use it in many countries there:
http://www.movistar.com.gt/tienda_gt...i_E5573?type=0
MiFi hotspot for rest of the globe:
https://www.amazon.com/Huawei-E5787s..._cd_al_qh_dp_t
I've thought about only getting the E5787 since it technically works globally, but I worry about not having 4G access sin central and south america at all and I believe, from what I've read on the interwebs, that camming won't be possible on a 3G connection. I'm sure if I found the right provider with the right band for this MiFi hotspot, that would work, but that might be putting it up to too much chance hoping for all the right pieces to come together...and we know that's definitely not how it goes while we are traveling!
TIA

Heading to the east coast in a few weeks and will be camming while traveling. Can't wait. It's quite the thrill.

sorry to be asking to be spoonfed but..... so is tethering internet off a cell phone a no go? im going to be staying the next month or so in random hotels / air bnb can anyone advice me on the best way to get a stable connection? an air card or something? thanks
"Achieving success is a challenge but so is struggling so you may as well choose success."

The airbnb usually has wifi. Or if you're lucky, you'll have the modem in your room/apt/house.
I have used my phone (tethering) from a hotel, and when the internet went out at the airbnb. It was ok. lower speeds, and lots of disconnects, for sure, but doable.
Hope that helps.

Not sure that the cell connection will be strong enough to stream seamlessly (but I could be wrong). It also drains your battery faster. I suggest getting a mobile hot spot like my fav Verizon's Mobile Hotspot brands. I moved a lot when I was with my military ex and anytime I needed to wait for a cable set up, I'd use the mifi mobile hot spot.
I streamed on SM for a few hours a day and I think the upload speed was 3mbps(4G LTE Speeds), which isn't amazing; but it gets the job done and I had no lagging or complaints. Clear stream the whole time. You can use it anywhere there is Verizon coverage. The only issue I had was that it eats a lot of data when you stream (obviously) so you might be paying $300 to refill it for say 1 week or less if you can't stretch out your data. I say streaming 2-3 hours per day is probably max or you'll eat through it fast.
If you're going to be in Europe I've heard good things about the pocket wifi called My Webspot. They deliver it to you, you use it, travel with it, and return it before you leave. They have them in Europe only.
If you can, I suggest staying in airbnbs and ones that have strong internet connections. Before I stay in any rentals, I make sure the host has high speed net and they will answer any question you have before booking. Most will say so in the ad.
Just in case, bring your back up (mobile wifi). Just make sure you're okay with shelling out $200-300 for the product and the data. There's nothing really unlimited out there (I think sprint has something?) so once you run out of data, you'll have to add more- but it def works with cam.
This one has great reviews and can be used internationally/globally. https://www.verizonwireless.com/inte...b-modem-u620l/
This has an unlimited plan, but it's 4G speeds up to 10G and then it drops to 3G speeds after. Or- anywhere from 5 Mbps-12 Mbps download speeds and 2 Mbps-5 Mbps upload speeds. So decent for cam and unlimited depending on the plan you want.

Yes, and I mentioned it on here before, but you can also buy getkarma.com.
Wifi device that has great upload, and you pay as you go.

Great thread!![]()
One reason why I started camming was I thought I could work from everywhere. (Besides countries where porn is illegal maybe.) But now I don't think anymore it's thaaat easy, as I have so much stuff already. Like toys etc., and I'm kind of a longterm traveller, my plan was / is to travel for about 4 years.
Currently I'm in Australia, where I started camming, and I have to do another job for about 3-4 months. I'm gonna buy a van for it where I can sleep in because I want to be flexible and not have to stay in dorms and stuff which I would have to do otherwise.
So I started wondering if it would be possible to maybe cam from the van every now and then. The other job will be quite demanding I guess, so it wouldn't be too often but I thought about once or twice a week so maybe not everyone forgets about me.
So I hope I will find an option to kind of get internet in there. If you have any suggestions for that in Australia, let me know!![]()

Well I'm glad everyone here is mobile enough to cam & makes enough.
I would NEVER cam in an AB&B. There is no way I'm letting my hosts hear me talking about his cock & moaning if I cum LOL
Plus I didn't think you could get strong enough Internet if you weren't wired in which is what I am.
I'll check out this though. Thanksgetkarma.com

^ Has anyone else tried getkarma??? I looked at the reviews & it has mostly shitty reviews, which sux bc i was srsly looking into getting it next month after my temp housing situation. They also redid their data plans as of 2016 bc so many ppl were "overusing" the data. So it's much more than $50 now sadly blah![]()

Thanks for letting me know.
I just don't see how anyone can use wifi & make it work. I mean for the odd shower show or something, ok, but I don't know, I only use wifi on my cell in my home. Everything else is wired in, plus Internet in foreign countries is terrible.
I've had bad experience in 2 countries including where I am now.
Now if someone is going to Korea or Singapore or Vietnam (I think, don't quote me) then ok, b/c I'm pretty sure they have top notch Internet that surpases anything we have in North America.![]()
I always cam using wifi when at home..
I have used hotel wifi both here in the USA and also western Europe, no problems..

I am going to have to set aside some time to read this thread. I will be traveling for next few years and I want to be able to still cam even though we will be moving from one state to another (in a filth wheel). I've done some research and have been referred to check out Verizon (they require credit checks though) so I'm still looking for the best possible solution to be able to cam while we don't technically have a home to call our own so I can't just order internet service LMFAO.
Helpful tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated ... least til I find the time to go through this thread. Packing shit up is hard work...and going through every single thing...Only have 7ish weeks to get it done!!
