Default searing for a camcorder with a remote

I have been searching for a camcorder with a remote control for some time now it seems that the newer model camcorders aren't coming with one and if they are it is very rare. so I have been on ebay trying to repurchase the set up I had before (regreting pawning my old video camera and remote tripod head) . I just discovered they are discoutinuing the ebenk pan and tilt so there are only a few of them on ebay. I am staring to to wonder if i can get back the set up I had before. I don't particular like using a regular webcam I find them annoying. I am not interested in getting the Sony-EVI when a a regular camcorder and a remote pan and tilt head is much cheaper and effective.

The Sony Evi is the one I'm personally shooting for when I can afford it. In the meantime though I can attest for the brilliance of a simple wireless mouse x

Like I said I am not interested in the Sony-EVI, I am trying to get myself a remote tripod head from ebenk or polaroid or another manufactor. I did find a camcorder that has a remote control. I just have to call the store in my area and see if they can order it for me. it will take some serious searching for the type of set up I had before.

Ahh i missed the part about not wanting the sony. Is that just because of cost? because if so you should check out ebay. I found one on ebay UK for half the usual price. A bargain

I had never even heard of a camcorder with a remote until you mentioned it in another post, and I started searching amazon but found nothing. Please keep us updated if you find something. I would be interested in something similar. Maybe try giving best buy a call and see if they know of something?

Sony, JVC, Canon usually have remote control for zoom, taking snap shots photos usually it it he MiniDV cameras that have it . JVC has some for thier new HD cameras that have a remote control but they are either extremey expensive or hard to find.

I use to have a Sony HC62, it was a bit graining but the remote control worked and the ebenk pan and tilt head remote control works for the pan and tilt and the zoom. there is a bootleg electronic store in my area that had them so I am going back there and getting the old sony I had before and on ebay getting back the remote pan and tilt head I had before. if I can't get the remote tripod head having a remote control video camera and a regular tripod does great for me same way. a lot easier for me to move around wiht them a usb webcam.

some of the newer Sony's come with a wired remote control. which is an option I thought of I jsut wonder how long the wire remote control is. whcih would mean I would be able pan and tilt with a remote but not zoom. the ebenk remote tripod head remote is universal for Sony, Cannon and Panosonic but I think its technology is for old MiniDV camcorders which is what makes this search difficult and I am beating myself up for pawning my old video camera and pan and tilt head when I was having a hard time a few years back.

It seems to be a lot of searching on ebay for the right items they are there for what I am looking for which is cheaper then getting the Sony-EVI.
