    Default $150/half hr - dancer gets $75

So I just got hired at a new club, and they have specials during daytime. Half hour rooms for $175. Dancer keeps 1/2. Compared to $40/5 minutes (lapdances), this does not seem worth anyone's time. How do I eloquently say no? I don't want to limit myself to only working nights.

i work in a club that has weird specials like this and every now and then would get cornered into one. depending on the situation, either just say no, or if you decide to do it, have $150 be the base, and then no contact or dancing or anything unless there's more money involved. just straight up sitting in the champagne room for $150 and then whatever else is extra.

Just tell them its $150 for the room, and you charge $$$ by the half/hour.

^Why would you want to be nice? This is a business transaction - don't sell yourself short just to be nice. No one gets my titties on discount because I'm a nice girl.

Point blank - charge more for your time. 20/bucks a song. Tell him the $175 is so you can have the exclusivity and privacy of the CR itself - but actual dances cost more.

If he's shelling out the 175 for the room then he clearly wants you. He'll pay the extra dough for the dances as long as you hustle well.

I completely and totally agree. I wouldn't say I was ever RUDE (unless a guy was rude to me, then whatever), but I wouldn't say I was ever openly NICE. Personally, I would charge whatever the standard dance price is for the area... so if it was in NOLA, I'd charge $40 extra per song, ATL $10, LV $20 whatever. NEVER UNDERSELL YOURSELF.

And "you're getting $75 anyway"? Fuck that. $75 is three dances with tip, which is 9 minutes. $75 for a half hour is a rip off. Half an hour is ten songs, so using a $20 standard that's $275 for a half, which is pretty average.

It is really customer specific and it takes awhile to figure out which customers fall in which category. And some clubs might have a majority of one type of customer. At my new club for example, customers get angry if you charge anything above the room price and will refuse to pay so its harder to get away with getting more money.
So basically, because it's harder to get them to pay above room price at your new club, you settle for less? To each their own, but I don't cut prices and I don't settle. I'm worth what I'm worth and those are my rates.

I'm guess I'm one of those girls who would rather walk with nothing than leave with $80 and feel that I ripped myself off and that my body is cheap. To each their own. I would never just assume that a customer will be willing to pay you more just because you didn't act 'greedy' while you were in the CR with them. Negotiate before you go in, get money upfront and don't undersell yourself. This doesn't mean you have to be pushy, you just have to approach them the right way.

Or - you sell him the room at $175, and explain that the dances are $20/each, but they're a lot more fun because you have privacy and you feel "more comfortable doing dances when not everyone can see". So the room at $175, then 30 minutes worth of $20 dances (10X$20) = $275 cut for the dancer. Even if they decide at that point that the CR room isn't worth it, and they'd rather get the 30 minutes of dances on the floor, you're still at $200 + tip (which would be around $220 - $250 IME).

Compare that to the CR room cut of $75 + the 10x$10 dances which would equal $175. You'd be getting less money than if you were dancing on the floor, and you have to be in close confines with the customer in the CR the whole time.

^In that case, make the deal $20/song. I dunno, I still disagree with your approach. But whatever works for you.

I prefer to make more money or nothing at all. 1 dance is a waste of my time and energy.

I overcharge if anything for a $150 half hr room I charge $250, ask for the money upfront, send the guy to the room then pocket my 100 and give the host the 150 as well as a tip (which I tell the customer to give me for the host additionally) and when the time is up I ask for a tip for myself so I make 200 from the half hr instead of a 100 on top of tips. Thats what me and some other girls do at my club. But if they really don't have anymore money what so ever from time to time I would do 150 for 15 mins and let them know that its gonna be less time. And NO bj's involved, if a guy tries to ask for it during the dance the best excuse to use is sorry I don't have a condom u understand right? I like to be safe (this works well since most guys don't have any on them). But once in a blue moon if you happen to get a guy that has a condom on hand be blunt and say sorry I don't give bj's I'll get fired! (don't let them bully you to give one because in my club once you've paid for the half hr no refunds!)
