There's good information here on this forum if you choose to read it.

OP, again, you're asking very vague questions for situations that very from person to person. How much to support one person? Well, one person can live on $500/month while another person needs $4000/month. It depends on where you live, what kind of bills you have, etc.

If you've already been camming for a year and you're STILL only making $80/wk, then no you're not going going to be able to support yourself if you need $4000/month. If you only need $500/month, then step it up and you'll be fine.

If you're only making $80/wk and you REALLY have been camming for a year then something is seriously wrong. You're on a BAD site, your camera/internet/computer is bad, you're not logging on for enough hours, you're not "working it", or something. Not trying to be a jerk, but you're asking about regs and by a year into camming, if you're on a decent site working a decent number of hours, then you should already have regs and have a good idea of what you need to do and how much you can make.

And no, you can't count on steady income with this job. You can count on it being reasonably consistent if YOU are reasonably consistent, but there are no guarantees. You need to make your goal higher than what you need to survive. If you need $1000/month, then your goal needs to be $2000/month because you need to put away money for taxes and save for those weeks when you can't make goal. Just my opinion....

But I think we're missing a HUGE part of OP's story here. When I was camming for a year, there's no way I'd need to ask other people for this info. So, I think we're not getting the whole picture.

After rereading the OP, it says she's been camming on and off for the past year. That means she could've gone days, weeks or even months at a time without working much. I'm guessing that when she did get on, she got frustrated because you really have to hustle to make money. It's hard if you're impatient or give up easily. That much inconsistency with work will only give potential customers/regs time to pursue/spend on other girls.

Also, she says she "thinks" she has personality and looks. So, not only has she been very inconsistent with getting on cam and staying on long enough to generate a stable income per week/month, she's lacking confidence. Confidence plays a major part in success, especially with this job. The girls who seem unsure of themselves are the ones with no guys in their room, or constantly have guys staring but not talking for long periods of time.

I made 450 ish my first week and 969 my second. I use a laptop with a built in camera (must get new cam). When I first started I didn't have any thongs/cute panties. I wore regular hanes panties and bras that didn't match. Sometimes my hair wasn't done. I was on a twin sized bed. All I did in free chat was shake my hanes-wearing ass in the cam and talk to the guys cuz I didn't know what else to do. Not to mention I had horrible lighting. (Lighting is slightly better now) All that and I still was able to bring home 969 in a week. Confidence made me successful.

(I try to work at least 40 hours a week, but the amount of time each girl needs to work to obtain her goal varies from girl to girl and goal to goal)

As far as "stable income", I take that to mean being able to fully support yourself soley by camming. That does depend on you and your needs though. I would suggest working a "regular" job and camming on a set schedule every week until you get the hang of it. The question is, are you a hustler/entrepreneur for camming because right now it doesn't seem like you've been committed to this job. You don't have anyone over you telling you when you have to show up for work and when you can leave.

Commitment is everything. No hustle=No $$$$$

what the other girls are saying about stable income is spot on (we don't know what that is for you so we can't tell you how long it will take to make it.)

keep the following things in mind:

    - savings. It's not a stable income if you're unable to put money aside and into savings.
    - taxes. camming creates a papertrail. You're going to have to do your taxes and that can be anywhere from 100$/day to 20$/day. Find out how much you are going to get taxed (income level and tax rate) and start factoring that into your income.

remember that you have to be consistant and put in the hours. And basically everything that everyone else has said.

Putting money aside is SO important in this job!!!As with any self-employed or comission-based job, it is always possible that something comes up that prevents you working. What if you get sick? What if your internet provider goes down for a few days, or your laptop dies and you have to wait for a new one to be delivered?

The ONLY way to feel truly "stable" is to have money put aside to deal with eventualities. This is a good idea with ANY job, but especially with something like camming. Ideally, you want at least enough to live off for a month.

You also have to remember that you could be kicked off a site, or a site could shut down, so if you are after stability - multiple income streams. Work a few sites, or one main site and have accounts set up with others and sell content as well. Have your social media up to spec so that if you DO get kicked off a site/site shuts down you can direct your customers to your new site.

It took me maybe a month to get comfortable on my main site, and I feel like with any new project or site I take on, it takes me around that time to get registered, set up, figure out what I am doing, how to do it, navigation and a little trial and error before I am totally comfortable.

If by "on and off for a year" you mean that you have been fairly consistently working for a year, then there is something wrong. If you mean that you did a week a year ago, and then started again last week, you just need to work a little more and a little longer.
I take cash, debit or credit. I just don't take shit.

I first started camming on Naked.com I can't remember how much my first paycheck was from there, but I know I never made much (maybe a few hundred a week) . I started MFC after Naked and my first paycheck on MFC was $1200. I did pretty damn well when I started, but I am not doing that well on their now, because my score isn't what it used to be. As far as stability, my money always varies. I am starting a normal 9-5 next month, and will be doing camming part time, so I am actually pretty excited about that, because I would prefer to know exactly how much I make. It sucks because a lot of things can factor in to why I have less one week then the other. (sick, relationship problems, family issues, kids, ect)

If I have a boss up my ass though, and a job I want to keep, then I can't fuck around, whereas with camming I think I can sometimes be way to easy on myself. "There's always tomorrow". But then I end up kicking myself in the ass the next day lol
