Default Hairdresser waxed off my arches!

Soooo mad. I just stare at them on cam and raaage you guys. I love my hairdresser but I don't know what the hell she was thinking. I told her I was growing them higher out, and then she rips the hair off the top - WTF, even I know that is a no-no!

So I with almost flat brows and soooo so upset. I have no clue how to fill my arches back in a way that looks semi-natural. I mean, I know where the arch should be but when I shade it in with eyeshadow it looks way too heavy and fake.

Does anyone know of any good stencil kits or tutorials - or just have any tips or something to help my poor brows?

Ouch! I hope you didn't pay for that, that's horrible. Put some non-alcohol aloe on it. I had some stencils, but never used them, I think I bought them @ Ulta, the brand was Fran Wilson (a long time brand, inexpensive). I do use a pencil, also from Ulta, Essence brand, inexpensive. I have very light brows, so I get a lighter color. Maybe you're using too dark of a color? It can be tricky, using powder. With the pencil, I do blend it, usually pencils have a little brush on the cap also.
Sephora should have some tutorials, also a brand on hsn.com called YBF. She takes the pencil, lays it against the beginning of the brow, makes a mark, then against the very end, then the middle part for the arch. They (hsn.com) should have that info on there also. Good luck.

ETA: I was looking on Sephora, & found this: http://www.sephora.com/browse/produc...tegoryId=C7010

I've heard this is good from several people http://www.sephora.com/browse/produc...ategoryId=B70#

I know how you feel. I've had a similar thing happen to me, but they grow back, so don't worry. I hope you can find something that works for you.

I've read that castor oil helps grow out eyelashes and eyebrows. Perhaps you can apply that each night before bed to give its growth a boost. I also hope you didn't pay her..."F" that!

Does it work on your regular hair, too? I mean so much that it would be worthwhile?

I've heard this before. Is it dangerous if it gets into your eye?? Or is it irritating to your eyes?? I'm just curious, because my eyes are really sensitive, but I'd love to grow fuller lashes.

Castor OIL is an oil made from the CASTOR BEAN, it is not an oil by-product like mineral oil. It is absolutely SAFE to use near your eyes, I mean look at what is in your eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, even eye makeup remover...... thousands of ingredients that can cause HARM to the human body. Castor oil: only one ingredient: oil from castor beans.

I have never had problems using it near my eyes, but I will admit I do not have sensitive eyes. You will have to use your best judgement, however for me either using LATISSE with all of it's side effects, or castor oil, it was a no brainer.

On hair, YES IT WORKS. With proper care, and regular castor oil treatments, I have gotten about 1/2 in.+ of growth per month. My lashes are much fuller and longer, and my overtweezed brows are growing back in.

It really does not take too much effort, If you wash/condition your hair you are putting more effort into it then it would ever take to use castor oil. I do my treatments on HAIR 1-2 times per week depending. I put it on DRY HAIR/Scalp at night and rinse out in morning. i recommend doing this when hair is DIRTY and you need to shampoo the next day. I am on a no-shampoo routine, use BAKING SODA/ACV rinses to rinse it out and style as usual. On brows/lashes, every night before bed.

CASTOR OIL also purges out ur pores, Seriously the stuff is amazing. If you have a pimple, use castor oil on it and STEAM, the zit will be gone the next day.
Castor oil can be drying but I have had no dryness issues around my eyes, I have very oily eyelids, so this may be the reason why. If you have problems with dry skin, use another OIL such as EVOO first, then apply your castor oil. Hope this helps ladies! There are alot of awesome articles online about the stuff

    INSTANT SOLUTION! READ THIS POST!

    http://www.talika.com/P_1010-2_eyebr...ark-brown.html

This is basically a gel with hair-like fibers in it. It is called the eyebrow extender and I put the dark brown here, but look on their site and they have black and light brown as well.

Let me know if it works for you. Good luck! And I hope you cried in front of your hairdresser or bitched her out. Whichever would have made her feel the worst.

Thanks so much!! Also, I'm very acne prone so your advice about the castor oil and steam was really helpful.

I was interested in Latisse for awhile, but I didn't like the possible side effects. I'm going to try the castor oil. My eyelashes are like a medium length and naturally curled, but the longer the better.

^ You may be seriously interested in getting some CASTOR oil for hair, lashes and face. Castor oil is most commonly used for the OIL CLEANSING ROUTINE. GOOGLE IT and read about the amazing results this cleansing method can have on skin. I have done OCM once to two times a week as a DEEP CLEANSER for my face, some do it daily but I found the task took me forever.

Does anyone know if castor oil is okay to use with hair that has the brazilian blowout treatment? I just got that done, and I'd love to use castor oil too but I don't want it to ruin my new blowout. I'm going to ask my hair stylist too next time I see him, just wanted to know if anyone here would have some input?

this is an oldie, but...yes, castor oil is amazing for growing out lashes and brows as well as EMU oil!! emu is harder to come by though. castor oil can make some people break out ( like me. i used to do oil cleansing, but the minute i added castor oil i broke out sooo badly i haven't done it since. it can also be incredibly drying on some people's skin so use it sparingly as first, and only on your lashes). castor oil can also take some time.. vitamin E oil also works. take prenatal vitamins and biotin..that makes hair and nails grow like crazy. rogain is good for for that too i hear!

eyebrow powder would look less fake than an eyebrow stick. but it wouldn't look as great in person (but it would still look okay) as it would look while you're camming.

I am so glad I found this thread! I usually get my eyebrows done by the same guy who does my mani/pedis. He was out sick the other day, and one of the girls who works there told me she was great at shaping eyebrows, and to "trust" her.
I was a little wary, but I've always been pleased with the work they do so I figured I would let her do them.
    HUGE MISTAKE!!!
She waxed off my beautiful arch that I had finally perfected : (
She also made them very thin, which I dont like at all. When she gave me the mirror to look at them I almost cried. Not to be aol dramatic, but eyebrows are important because they frame your face.
I did not pay for it, and headed straight to the mall for something to fill them in with.
I ended up buying the matte eyeshadow "Gage" by MAC.
Thank you girls for providing all the tips you have! Im definitely going to try the castor oil today!
