    Question Treadmils? Anyone use one?

So, yeah I need exercise, in this (although mild this yr.) midwest winter..I have a Denise Austin non-motorized treadmill which's now a clothing depository
I was just wondering if anyone on here uses, what's your routine, results, etc. Thanks!

yes I have a motorized treadmill that can run pre-programmed profiles that change the belt speed and the incline angle through the workout. I hit the treadmill every other day, and rotate the profiles. It's awesome for legs and butt. I also add hand weights to provide a bit of upper body balance.

Yes treadmills work well for me. I usually preprogram it so it varies between brisk walk to running.

I really wish I had room for a treadmill. I absolutely hate running/walking outside, but I can go for a long time on a treadmill. I always use my mom's when I go home for a visit. One day, I shall have one of my very own...

Uugh, me too. I would totally break for a really nice Cybex machine but I really just don't have the room to justify it. Maybe in a few years, when I have a decent-sized house. Until then, i just use what I can at my City College's gym and I'm trying to force myself to run, outside, more often. :p

Ladies, can't you get a scaled down one? I have pretty damn small space, as I said mine's non-motorized, which I think helps size-wise. It folds up

No, for the price, I want a big, fancy one. Lol! I don't have a problem waiting it out. It's a total luxury item, I think and I can totally find other outlets to use one, if I absolutely want to.

I had one when I lived in a cold place. It helped for sure. I'd hike on highest incline about a mile or two a day on it . I found that using the uphill setting worked well.

I usually do a brisk walk ... 3.6 speed and 5.0 incline. It's also great for your lower abs as well as cardio
