    Default Card Fraud?!!?!! Rant

So....I checked my balance on my student account and someone had made a purchase last night for 239.00 for some D LAM Enterprises..which upon googling it, appears to be a tactical supply store..like knives and weapon supplies, clothes, etc..They also charged $1.01 FACEBOOK*Credit...WTF? I didn't even know that it was possible to spend money on facebook. Anyways, since it's my student account and not my actual bank I'm having an annoying time trying to get it straightened out..however they said that as soon as the charges are completely posted then I can file a claim and dispute it and they'll do an investigation. So.. Will it be easy to find out who did it? Especially since it seems to me to be an online purchase, I live in a small arizona town and the D LAM Enterprises is of Florida and the purchase was made between the hours of 8 pm and 11:59 pm last night, and the Facebook purchase today. Has anyone else dealt with this before? Will the claims department tell me the information about what facebook account made the purchase or what address the $239.00 order was shipped to?? I'd like to know this so I can press charges on whatever prick did this..I'm a single mom and they just robbed me of half my assets right now! I'm going back to work nxt week finally so that will help, but these pricks should pay! I know that I'll eventually get my money back (I hope)! But they said it would take up to 90 days! Ahhhhhh What the hell is wrong with people?? Victimless crime my ass!

I've had this happen on credit and debit cards. Sorry this happened to you, in my case they do an investigation and they take the charges off immediately. They won't tell you who made them or anything and they say they'll prosecute but I don't know that they do. One time it was my daughter and they asked if I wanted to press charges and I said no, they never asked me this before. This happens to me alot after I travel like a maid or someone got the info. Hope you get the money back soon.

I guess I would look into WHICH Facebook account the $1.01 was spent on.

Then I would ask D Lam enterprises to what address the items were delivered to.

This is so annoying, I am sorry you have to deal with this. Just work with the bank/ student loan people as closely as you can. They usually issue a temporary credit while they are investigating the fraud but in the meantime keep a close eye on your other accounts. You will most likely get the money back but it might take an annoyingly long time. One time a bank of america atm ate like 4 50 dollar bills without showing any deposit and they at first said they couldn't do anything, but I was persistent but polite and they just credited the acct the same day. With a fraud investigation like yours it will probably take more time. I would file a police report it seems like it would pretty easy to find out who did this. Fucking assholes!

They'll give her the money back, this has happened to me at least 6 times over the last two years. I would be warry of filling a report it's public record and do you really want criminals knowing were you live( maybe harm coming to you.) Vanna I also did a deposit for 800 in nola with chase and it spit 400 back out and shut down and said technical dificulties call this number. No lie it took me a week and 5 calls to get the money in my account. They're like well theres been no account activity in 4 months, yeah I have 4 bank accounts for different locations I travel to and hadn't been in nola or new york so was using my other cards. They have cameras and the machine was over. Fucken banks are thieves!

if this just happen, can't you contact the tactical store and tell them your card was stolen and to cancel the purchase.
And then, if you decide to file a report with the police, to ask them to forward to info to your local cop handling the report?
