Im going to have to give this a try, I love homemade stuff.
Will report back on my findings when I get around to making it![]()

Awesome! Please let me know lol
I love coconut oil, for a long time I had no idea what I had on my skin, it's lil tiny bumps behind my arms and legs. It's called Keratosis pilaris and common, no real treatment but I decided to toss my lotions since nothing helped and use coconut oil and they are almost all gone! This shit is magic!
I don't have all the ingredients to make this at the moment but would love to know if someone "I know" lol has done it, used it and it works cause if it does whoooo!!!

I love coconut oil, yeah it definitely is some amazing stuff....!!!
If I dont get around to it today, Ill do it tomorrow.

OMG, I've always had this! I didn't know there was a term for it. I always thought it was just that my skin is really sensitive to detergents, so the little bumps happen where the back of my arms rub against my shirt sleeves in the back. It's not that big of a deal, but I've always wanted to have nice smooth and soft skin on my arms.
Thanks so much for posting this - I can't wait to try coconut oil to see if it helps!!

You know the thing is no matter how much you scrub they never leave! I've had them all my life and yeah no discomfort but in a way they embarrassed me. Always wanted smooth skin too and I heard so many great things about coconut oil and figured why not try it. I didn't know this would be the result and I am loving it! Now when you get coconut oil the best one I have found is the virgin one, unrefined.
I am so going to try this!
Thank you for the link

Btw...Im easily distracted, so it might be a sec before I make this...But I will!
I already found some deodorant tubes that I havnt used in forever and would've thrown away,
so I have made *some* progress![]()

Finally got around to it! But!! I realized I had baking powder, not baking soda...and corn meal, not corn starch. Yes, Im a hot mess
So I got the right stuff, and I found that pretty much all the recipes I was able to find called for just the 1/4C of the soda/starch so I did that, and it was just about perfect for one standard tube of deodorant. I also added 20 drops of Essential Jasmine Oil. I had just a little bit left over, so I added more baking soda like the article said she does, to put into a travel sized deodorant tube. So Ill see what the difference is in the thickness/texture of them. Right now they are in the fridge firming up...by morning Ill be able to try it out, and report my findings!
By the way, the coconut oil I used was given to me by my ex...Its organic pressed coconut oil from Whole Foods, and I hadnt used it because Im still using the coconut oil he gave me before. Now, I was really surprised because it has next to no coconut taste or flavor... Now the first one he gave me was from a farm where they press thier own and its raw virgin coconut oil. Its a lot more expensive (around $20 for the jar) while the one from Whole Foods is way cheaper, but I can see the difference. The store bought one has a bit of a tint to it with very little coconut taste or smell, while the one from the farm is completely clear with a strong taste and scent of coconut..which I like! I really think that the quality of the store bought one is not as good...so anyway, Ill try this..if it works awesome, but if it doesnt, Ill try it again with the farm made coconut oil.

Is the one from Whole Foods refined or unrefined? It should say in a little colored box on the front near the bottom of the label.
It sounds like it's refined which in my mind is totally worthless.
Ungoogle yourself:
Also, now offering phone sexins!

Refined...and I think youre right about that. Because the difference between the two is amazing...like if it wasnt for the label, I woudlnt guess in a million years it was coconut oil. Its just not right.
I do have to say though, I did a full day yesterday with the coconut oil deodorant that I made, and it held up pretty well! It was a rough day too....I was out running errands most of the day, had a parent/teacher conference where I found out kiddo only did 5 out of 20 assignments so far this semester, went into angry mommie mode on kiddo, almost got into a car accident on my way to taking care of my frineds pup, and while walking the pup, ran into a super hot guy that I flirted shamelessly with while my heart banged itself to pieces in my chestSo yeah, I had a pretty full day with lots of high body heat situations... I dont sweat much anyway, but as far as odor, all Im left with is a faint trace of jasmine. So maybe for this purpose, the crappy coconut oil isnt so bad and Ill finish using it, but if I make this again, Ill use the real stuff.
Something else, the melting point is super high, I think around 75 degrees? I took it right from the fridge, and its rock hard (and heavy!!) and when I applied it, it melted immediately. So I really dont see how anyone could keep this around outside of the fridge. Anyway, we are heading into the warmer months here..will see how it holds up!

Lasted through a full day again yesterday, and a night of horrible (civilian) sex.
It does get a strange smell by evening/overnight though, not a bad smell, not a ew smell, just...a smell thats not me or mine.
I think that its the store bought refined coconut oil doing that...will have to head to the farmers market to get more raw coconut oil.
A good thing, because of this, I started using the raw oil as a facial moisturizer again like I used to, and already its doing beautiful things for my skin.

SWEET!!! Ok gonna do it then!! THANKS!!! You rock!
