Just a fair warning to those of you who may become excited about your dot xxx being given to you, for the first 12 months, FREE of charge (compliments of ICM/Registry/Webpower. Yes, the iFriends people). This announcement came just today, with absolutely NO details on this program, except to say that they want an affidavit, along with information from you, to obtain your dot xxx. This program has been around a long time and while I kept tweeting to them, asking for details, they kept brushing me off, saying "when we're ready", then finally, just a few weeks ago,"in the first quarter". Well, here we are in the first quarter. All goes according to plan. But wait ... still no details on this Performers Program. But wait, there's more - this is coming straight off the heels (an earlier announcement today) of Manwin's decision not to settle in their lawsuit against ICM Registry. Seems mighty strange timing for them to be announcing a program they have no details on, doesn't it? Desperate attempt to get performers to back them up by saying they support dot xxx, indirectly, by signing up.

Just spreading some wisdom throughout the industry and to you girls. I have been keeping myself updated on everything surrounding ICM Registry and Webpower's antics and games in pursuit of this dot xxx venture and it stinks, especially for us performers. If you read my Wordpress blog, you'll see.
Be wary of what you sign. Read everything carefully and for God's sake (and your own) get a lawyer to tell you exactly what you're signing before you sign a thing!

My guess is (and keep in mind, I could be wrong), their game is to make it LOOK like they have support from the adult industry and by having thousands of you girls sign up for your free dot xxx, it gains them the numbers they need ... to fool some committee or board member or the courts themselves, that ICM have the support of thousands of performers. Bullshit. Like the rest of the world, we would only want to deal with these people in a defensive way, to protect our own names. What a catch 22! The lawsuit claims that ICM lied about this support they had from the industry. ICM and ICANN are under scrutiny for this. If ICM get taken down in this lawsuit, someone else will control dot xxx. It will still exist,m only things will be more fair. They will have to be. There will be no more squatting from Webpower's lawyer, Sheri Falco. You may want to check this out if you don't believe me There still is no support for this dot xxx. Don't buy the bullshit. They are master manipulators and I wouldn't be surprised if they tried, once again, to defend themselves right here in this forum, like they did on my blog and here before, under an alt. Their desperate moves seem to have no limits!

Where are these details? It's bullshit. Just beware. Get a lawyer to look at their terms before agreeing to anything. Perhaops in the affidavit, you should include something stating that you are not supporting ICM Registry, rather just buying your dot xxx as a protective measure for your online handle.

Any other ideas, girls? Since you're not actually buying it, then you're just taking this on a trial basis, not necessarily supporting it.
I saw this coming a long time ago. I'm also thrilled that Manwin decided not to settle. Your thoughts, girls?
