So I finally moved back to my home city and have been trying to work. I took a hiatus because i ended up getting pityriasis rosea and was unable to work.
It's a new internet connection, and my roommate told me he had one of the fastest Rodgers connections. The internet seemed faster that what i was used too and I have had no problems, except I am incredibly worried about the upload speed. I feel as though I am unable to work tonight because back when I was in Kitchener, my Ex and my Ex house mates had internet that was 0.60 mbs and I had to put the encoder on a low setting.
Here is what my speed results are now. We also pay 50$ a month for internet.
Ping: 41 ms Download speed : 20.94 ( usually is 21) and Upload speed: 0. 47 mps. Normally at 50/51
I don't think this is enough to run the encoder.
I have no torrents running. I am plugged into an Ethernet, I am with Rodgers Highspeed express. The ethernet port does have a lot of things plugged in ( a second laptop, nintendo wii, x box, but none are running. The roommate is also not running any torrents.
Is there anything I can do? or is an upgrade the only solution. If so, what options do I have in Canada?
Thanks in advance for your time.
