I bought hair from China that was advertised as remy hair, but when I received them and took a look I could see they were obviously not remy because there were lots of root bulbs facing downwards!! >:{ I did some research and by the glossy and almost fake look and feel, the extensions were probablly chemically treated to remove the cuticle and coated with silicones which will wash off and (from experience) turning them into a tangly dry mess very quickly once the silicone coating washes away. I'm considering applying henna to the extensions because it acts as a barrier from damage similar to the cuticle of hair. Anyone tried pure henna on cheap extensions? Does this sound logical? PS Natural henna powder is amazing for your hair and is not the same stuff sold as henna hair dye.

Also does anyone have any recommendations for products that would work well on non-remy extensions (moisture/shine/detangling?) I really want these to last like 3 months. Thank you!
