Default 10 Minute Trainer or other Beachbody workouts

Anyone tried this? I know someone posted about Insanity. I tried the cardio out with my gf and I am sweating like a mofo...lol Shows how out of shape I am, but Tony Horton packs a lot into minutes. Anyone tried this or anyother Beachbody stuff adn had good results? I am starting a 90 day challenge as soon as I get my Shakeology.

I did Turbo stuff, and a friend of mine is a beachbody coach. I will be trying Insanity soon, too. They let me check the DVDs out at the gym here for free. While I was doing Turbo, it was a good workout. I just HATE working out at home, so never stuck with it. My friend loved it soooo much she became an instructor and coach, and lost a lot of weight from her two pregnancies.

After reading this post, I decided to check out the 10 Minute Trainer. Downloaded it and looked up stuff online about it, and gave it my first try today. It was interesting, but when I calculated everything out, I don't know if it will actually do me much good. I did the "advanced results" 30 minute schedule. I was definitely tired throughout since it's go-go-go for 10 minutes straight on each one, but I do not feel the same as I do after a good 45-60 minute continuous workout. (No idea how I'll feel tomorrow, but I'll let you know lol). However, I looked up how many calories it burns and it's approximately 100 per 10 minute workout (which makes sense, as the P90x workouts, done by the same guy, burn about 600 per hour). So a 30 minute combo burns 300... when I went into myfitness pal to log the workout and what I ate as my post-workout meal, I realized that the protein shake I like to drink after every workout is ~250 calories... so basically I just worked out to make room for my post-workout shake... so I don't know how I feel about that.

I know, calories aren't everything, and workouts up your metabolism to burn more calories and all that, but it was kinda disheartening. I've done P90x for 6 weeks before and I got in great shape. I took a break and have been trying to get back into it, but I just couldn't bring myself to put in the time since starting to work more. So when I saw this, I was like "awesome!" but now I'm not so sure. I'll stick with it for awhile to see if it produces anything, but it might just end up motivating me to go back to P90x to get a better workout lol We'll see.
