    Default Stripper Makeover !

I thought it'd be fun to start a thread to talk about what changes girls have made to "get ready" to start dancing, or returned to dancing. funny audition stories or things you wish you'd known at your first audition.

I finally just hunted down some size 5 closed toe stilettos, started oxy elite and got a gym membership, ordered some great red lipstick, and went blonde and started tanning / using sunless tanner.

The first time I auditioned (almost 4 years ago) i was so unprepared since i just decided to do it about 2 days beforehand, i wore this awful pale pink lace bra and boy short combo with some regular like 3 1/2" heels. lol. i was super pale (not in a good way) and had a red pixie cut/ faux hawk hairstyle. about a year later the manager said it was the second worst audition he'd seen but he hired me bc i was adorable ? haha.

ive been promising myself id lose 30 pounds for the last two years and i couldve lost it five times over by now so im going to do that
hair done professionally either red or pale blonde possibly extensions, taking a pole dancing class, buying some pro makeup brushes and better skin makeup as well as starting to use false eyelashes everyday. also starting a skin routine and getting my eyebrows waxed regularly.

^^^Jadenraine, I was heavier than I'd have liked when I first auditioned, but the weight shifted fast in the first 3-4 weeks of dancing. Much faster than if I just tried to shift it with my normal excercise and diet routine. Perhaps just bite the bullet and audition anyway? Then if they say no, just reaudition in two months time.

-ditched glasses for contacts & went with a color (green which looks hazel)
    - gym membership to tighten and tone
    - extenstions (debating on whether or not i want to start using a lace closure with my sew-in)
    - believe it or not, i hardly ever listened to rap music until i decided i wanted to dance and going to the clubs where i can actually work, that's all they play. I've started listening to some rap....
    - i'm debating on if i want to get underlashes to play up my eyes. I dont want it to be too extreme..
    - to futher 'stripify' myself, i will get a brazilian butt lift if the squats & lunges dont pay off
Oh, & im trying to buy outfits NOW instead of ordering from snaz75 or wherever because they dont have what i'm looking for. & since I have natural H cups (yes natural) i will use actual bras with underwire. Bras are expensive. I think i need to learn how to bedazzle my own bras

My makeup style has evolved. It was hideous when I first started dancing, mainly because I didn't know how to apply makeup. My hair gets colored every month, when I first auditioned it was all natural. I got colored contacts. My teeth get whitened with strips at home once a week. I always have pink and whites (whereas before I'd never wear fake nails). I've cut a bunch of carbs as well as soda from my diet. My dancing style has evolved from the more alternative/rocker look to more of a classy girl next door look. My actual "dancing" has changed from a lot of pole tricks to more of the slower, sensual dancing. My body when I first auditioned was toned, but now that I'm getting older I have to work a lot harder to keep it looking that way.

I'm actually embarrassed when thinking about my first audition. I had nooooo idea what I was doing. Lol.

These are all such great steps to take. I wasn't expecting to get my audition same-day so my hair was just down and quickly straightened, I had on hardly any makeup, and I literally went from the club to go pick up an outfit/shoes, back to the club to audition. I barely had time to get used to WALKING in the damn things! Luckily id been treating my skin well so I didn't have any obvious blemishes or dark circles. And I knew not to try any crazy moves for the audition dance.
    But now I plan to:
Get my pink/whites filled (they're grown out about 4 mm but you can't tell in the dark club)
    Use whitening strips
Possibly get eyelash extensions because I can't apply falsies for the life of me

^Dude...I've been trying to learn how to apply falsies for the last few weeks. And I cannot fucking do it no matter what videos I watch or what techniques I use. I've tried to keep a positive attitude like "practice makes perfect," but I think I should probably just move on to accepting that I can't do it.

I can't apply the strip lashes either. The individual little bundles are easy to do with tweezers though. You can get them right next to the strip falsies at a drug store or even Walmart.

^I'm really bad at falsies too and my friend told me that getting a good glue is paramount. She recommended MAC but I haven't tried it yet.

I can do strip lashes but only good enough so they look natural in club lighting, IRL I'd probably look like shit

^ Dude...I've only recently started getting stripping outfits that truly complement my figure...and I danced for over 4 years!

What was I thinking??? It's partially because I 'grew up' in a dive, but still..wtf??

I think the perfect stripper outfits are "less is more". I mean, follow the fashion rules of your club, but I find that a cute short dress with well fitted thong or panties or a well fit bikini with a tiny skirt. This works for me, any way. I could never do a romper or a cut-out one piece thingy. It would do nothing for me:-( I recently did an inventory on outfits I already have. Anything that was too frilly, puffy or made my small boobies look even smaller was thrown out. I do like pretty lingerie with stockings and garters. I don't think it's the best look for me, but its beautiful on certain dancers.

Omg, dude...I wore a green and blue polka-dotted thong (also way too tight for my body) to my audition. With a rolled up black skirt, black knee-high boots, a full-coverage plain bra, and a blue spaghetti strap. What was I smoking???

For the first six months, the only thongs I wore in the club were Victoria's Secret cloth thongs that were too tight and also had weird patterns and words all over them (not monochrome). Wth.

I wore a plain, pink bikini with a pink cotton skirt to my audition.

    Oh yea.

Just did a bit of an alternative-ish "barbie stripper" shop. Got the new playboy bra in dusty pink and black, with a matching thong, and soft pink ankle warmers and some new glittery clear heels. Plus some sparkly jewellery. I am pink and silver sparkly, accented with black. It sounds dodgy when I see it written there, lol, but it looked good and made me feel fabulous. Got a compliment from our bouncer which surprised me. The ankle/leg warmers I am rocking at the moment are mainly to hide my ankle brace, but I think I am actually a fan of them.
I auditioned in a bikini with birds on it, lol.
When I started I wore a black, anime style wig with a heavy fringe. First shift, I wore the longest black lace cocktail dress, and then a white one, short, with boats on it. Both terrible choices.
Fast forward and I now bleach my hair platinum, always have acrylic nails, wear a ton more foundation, and wear things that are easier to take off. I am at a turning point with my look I think, want to be a bit pricier looking and less of a hood rat, lol. Always rocked the "rock chick" look. but I am thinking of doing a toned down version. I'm rock chick enough without the outfits. Will be damned if I will ditch my garter with "psycho" written on it in sparkly silver letters tho...

I can't give SW all the blame though. I colored in my eyebrows drag queen style for a solid...6 months before I realized I looked like a man. That was my own idea, unfortunately.

how I ever got hired at my first club is completely beyond me.
Lol! Totally. I don't remember seeing your pics. I'm a pretty blunt person, so I would've spoken up.

Try the halfsies. Those are my favorite. Easy to apply and the most natural looking while looking full. I wear mascara and apply the halfsies on the corner ends.

LOL @ the newbie wardrobe mistake. I wore a real gown instead of a stripper gown my first night. hahaha. I posted a picture on here too and was told to go for it as well.
