    Default Nose jobs..

I've been wanting to get a nose job for a while now, and I've finally decided that by the end of the year I'm going to do it (I'll be going to the same doctor that did my boobs, him and his staff are absolutely fantastic).

The doctor has mentioned to me before (he knows I am a dancer), that the recommended amount of time I should take off of work to heal would be a week. But is a week really enough for swelling/bruising/obvious surgery marks to be not as noticeable/shrink?? Or anything I should expect once I do go back to dancing with the new nose?

Just wanted to hear from girls that have had their noses worked on too. Thanks!

^ Yeah I gt mine 11 years ago and cannot really remember hoe long I took off but mine was an open nose job and I think the packing was in at last 10-14 days and remember it takes 1 year with rhinoplasty to see the final results and mine even looks different now than it did say 1 year after.

depends what you're having done. some surgeons are overly cautious, some are kind of like "just don't do somersaults and you'll be fine" so that's really something to discuss with your surgeon. because there are different techniques, he may be very confident in how settled and properly positioned your nose is post op.

one of the big reasons for the super cautious thing is....no one wants to be a guinea pig. no one wants to get punched in the face the day after surgery and see if everything heals alright. so there's no real way to test what's the best recovery time because who would be willing to potentially fuck up their faces? it is my opinion, however, that a healthy body should heal well and rather quickly. swelling is a different story
