So, if it was cashed yesterday from a balance I didn't have available, what happened with that $1,177 that dissapear on february 8 from my card balance and that got recorded on my credits status history that was deleted misteriously???? because that money did dissappear on that date on my payoneer. If payoneer cash out things and discount it from your current balance, what control can I have if it is 'pending' for me is cashed, because I no longer have it on my card balance and it shows on payoneer transaction history as cashed not pending.
Often times they temporarily debit the amount and put it under pending just to make sure you have enough money. Then sometimes they give it back to you and remove it after it posts when can be 2 days later or a month later.

What I suspect may have happened is that they debited the 1200 temporarily, and then gave it back to you and maybe you thought you had more money in your account than you really did (1200 more) because you thought it had already posted when it was still pending?

I would check your deposits against the amounts that have been taken out. You can also check it on the right-hand side of the posted transactions page. It shows how much was deducted, and what your balance was right after that.

Also, PM Nissim and call Payoneer right away.

I can do that...but I don't know if any other record had been deleted who knows...I know the one of the airline ticket, because I bought it for trip, but I'm not too into always checking all my transactions (debits and credits) so I don't know if for some instance another one is missing or deleted ..i wouldn't know, and I would get more confused...

Exactly, if its really a Payoneer or airline error, then you will find a discrepancy in the amount of money loaded to your card versus the amount of money deducted.

I couldn't answer to you if they did put it again back on my account balance or not...I don't enter too much to my payoneer (only when I need to accept some load payment) and sometimes I do enter and if I see money on my balance and is higher than $200 bucks I don't verify or check too much at all. But, let's said for some instance they did return to me the 1.177 (why would they do that??? if I didn't request it??) and I spent it without notice...still is not a very good system, because at first they shouldn't give me back a money I spend and didn't request it back, if it was 'pending' it should go to the final destination instead of back to me, the money wasn't for me was for another company, and I authorized it to that other company...this is confused for me, I just hope everything gets more clear to me, and next time I will keep more record and be more seriously when I check my card balance and will do it everyday, cause I am so trustful with payoneer that I dont check almost nothing, I just enter accept see more then 200 bucks get out...

    OMG I am scared!
it is not possible to overdraft a debit card, I can't understand what happened, it may be an error from payoneer system.
send to Nissim all copies of confirmation email, ticket showing the date you bought it, the day when you travelled, transaction id, ticket number ect.hope that he will help you. I suggest to all payoneer users to take frequently a screenshot of their payoneer dashboard to keep a proof of records in case something disappears

That's just how debit cards work though. They pre-authorize the charge, temp charge it to make sure you have enough money, then it stays pending for like 2 to 30 days, then when it posts they take it out. That's how all debit cards work.

It is possible. I have overdrafted a prepaid card before by accident. Just google prepaid+card+overdraft and you'll see hundreds of people who've also overdrafted their prepaid cards.

Don't be scared, I still think Payoneer is a good system (yes, even if I have to paid almost $500 of debt). There have to be some explanation I know...and even if I'm still in shock (specially after listening to payoneer support operators telling me like ups...I don't know why this had happened but, you need to paid the debt) is like kinda wow...shocked me, but Nissim had contacted me :-) there surely is an explanation.

Maybe is like GlamourRouge said, they discount the money 1 month ago but it was pending (even if it was discounted from my card balance) and it updated yesterday, but if this was the case....well..bad from my part and their part too, from my part cause I don't put too much attention to my card balance or transactions (from this experience I definetely will from now on) keep track of all, weekly screenshots of my transaction history, verify my card balance, do..what I didn't do before, put attention now to it.

I have 1 year with Payoneer, and this is the first time I have inconvenience with them, they're a good system, and for me is the best way to be payed and fast, I will continue with them definetely, only that I will put more attention from now on, and will not make big purchases or any purchase bigger than $200 bucks.

Good luck, I will keep updated

It's totally possible to overdraft a debit card. It's just like writing a check, in that way. Let's say you have $200 in your account and you go to the store and spend $150. Then you go straight to another store and spend $75. If the first $150 didn't clear right away then the system is still showing you have $200. Once both transactions clear you will be negative $25. It's totally possible. Happens all the time.

However, I find it very unlikely that you spent that much money that you didn't have. If I saw I had that much money in my account I would know that it was too much and find out what happened. I think most reasonable people would.

OP, it seems very likely that they did a debit twice. You probably shouldn't list the details here, but think about this:
Add the balance in your account when it was positive (the $600+) to the amount that it's now negative (the $400+ amount). Does it equal the exact amount of your plane ticket? But yes, you should definitely balance your account as you spend the money.

And you think a UK debt collection agency is going to buy an interntational debt (of 500$ ) !!! LOL - Look where buying international debt got us last time ;-) We lived and learn , and NO I would not be paying a foreign country 500$ , I would let them add their , interest and penalty fees, and then come get me ;-) Perhaps from a legal standpoint , they would be entitled to get that money back from me ... but in reality , it would be almost impossible, and I would not be the mug paying it

I can't believe I didn't think to mention this sooner - But last year I paid my insurance on my payoneer, it came out 3 times ! I had enough money in there to cover it , so I didn't have the Overdraft issue - however I was over charged , big time. I contacted Nissim , and he helped me resolve the matter . We had to go through the merchant first , and if that failed Nissim said he would work on having the funds put back ... Luckily the merchant cooperated , and I got my money back .

Thanks to whoever moved this ^^

I would firstly like to apologize to the OP for any inconvenience caused by this issue, and I'd like to take a moment and explain what happened (I removed the amounts and any sensitive account information).

    - On February 8 2012 there was a pre-authorization in the amount of $XXXX. A pre-authorization is a temporary hold on funds, made by a merchant to confirm that a payment method is valid before completing a transaction. This charge was made with an expiration of 7 business days, which means if the merchant does complete the charge within this time period the pre-authorization will expire and the funds will be released to the account.

    - On February 17 2012 (7 business days following the charge) the pre-authorization of $XXXX expired and the funds were released to the account. At this point, the merchant had yet to issue a new charge.

    - On March 8 2012 the merchant charged the account in the amount of $XXXX. This was a charge for services already rendered and pre-authorized, so although there were not sufficient funds at the time the charge was force posted.

When making a purchase, the funds are first pre-authorized and then charged by the merchant. This process normally happens within seconds, so you never see it. In some cases, a merchant will not process the charge right away, and so you will see a pre-authorization charge pending for several days before the charge is posted to your account.

In regards to a negative balance, I'll copy here what I wrote on the Payoneer official support thread:

The Payoneer card is a prepaid debit MasterCard card. This means that you cannot use more than what is available on the card. Payoneer declines all charges that would exceed your available card balance.

In rare situations, however, merchants can "force post" a charge. This would happen with a merchant charging a card for services already given (such as banks, hotels, restaurants).

If your balance goes into the negative, Payoneer doesn't charge you a fee. As I said, it's extremely rare and we don't normally allow it. As long as the account is loaded with funds within a couple of weeks, it won't negatively affect your account in any way.

Once again, I apologize for any confusion caused by this issue, and hope I was able to clear things up. If anyone has any questions at all, don't hesitate to contact me at any time.

    Thanks,

Well Nissim keeps updated. Now I am more clear on what had happened. Bad of myself and part to not put attention to my card balance on a constant basis (I recomend to anyone to put attention on their card balance always, so they can clearly verify if something suddenly change and some money already discounted go back to your earnings). Even if this is a 'rare' situation like Nissim said, it does happens and it happened to me. So I apologize for this inconvenience, like I said don't be scared to use Payoneer is a good system, but we definetely need to put more attention (I didn't) to any suddenly changes to our card balance, so we can ask what is going on

Is there a way to avoid this to happen? if the merchant has from 2 to 30 days, and we buy something how can we keep control of leave enough money for 30 days (in case the merchant takes 30 days to cashout)...or should I only buy fast and cheaper things like, food, clothes, etc. instead of airline tickets, travels, etc. To avoid all this...

Regards :-) and thanks Nissim for your help.

There's no need to apologize, and I completely understand your wanting to be 100% clear with your account status and balance. I'm glad I was able to help clear up the issue.
