It wouldn't be a fee to go on stage but if you are charging a custy a hourly rate to sit, you will not be called on stage. Just from what I know $350-500 a hour.

Unfortunately, no club I've ever worked at has been that organized. The only way you got out of stage rotation was if you were in one of the private rooms. But of course, most of the girls were sitting with customers for free...they weren't getting paid shit. They'd make MORE money by going on stage because then guys would actually tip.

#10- The line "I'm going back for a few to freshen up" is the dancer version of our "maybe later". IMO, it is legit to take a break right after a stage set. This has happened several times to me, in many cases, dancer actually came back. In one case, I'm glad she did, as she was sweaty after her set, and commented that she sweats easily. All was well later.
OTOH, one needs to recognize when a brush off is happening. If club is active, a good prospective "custy" will likely be approached by some other dancers during that 10 minute smoke time. For me, the time to write it off would have been totally ignoring you after the break and going over to doorman for extended period. OP found his point after 2nd distraction with playful customer. I double the time dancer says she'll be back, after that , all bets are off. Life is too short to waste waiting for something that isn't going to happen.

I'm right 96% of the time.I don't sweat
the other 5% .......................

If a customer is that desperate to get dances from a girl...they can always approach the dancer themselves! Haven't the OP never though of that?

^I guess I got spoiled to be asked for dances when I was working last summer at RVa...

Thank you all for your insight. I've forgotten about her anyway (don't even remember her name anymore)![]()

Now now lestat, let's not perpetuate any bad stereotypes here. I never had any problems getting a date when I was single, but yet I enjoyed clubs then as I do now. I am guessing that the same holds true for plenty of seasoned club visitors.
Also, IMHO he shouldn't have to chase her down to give her his money. I have absolutely no issue with a approaching a stripper, but in most instances I won't do it as a matter of principle. It is her job to sell me, not my job to chase after her with a stack of 20s in my hand. And from everything that socialreject said about how events unfolded, I have no doubt that she was well aware of his interest but chose to avoid him anyway.

I can't help but agree with you. Honestly, this is the HUGE problem I've seen with the influx of new, young dancers, especially in this last year. They have this sense of entitlement that means they have stopped hustling. Yes (as firemaiden said) I've had the occassional night where money just finds me, but they're few and far between. These girls seriously need a lesson.

Agreed. You tried to call TWICE and she still doesn't care? She's retarded. What's she doing there anyway? To socialise? (Well yeah) But I mean, to hang out?

OP,
A lot of people are just not that bright. Really, if you are actually asking to pay someone & she can't be bothered, she might be stupid.
There are plenty of girls (and guys) at SC's and other jobs that just coast, whatever. maybe that girl made $150 that night and walked out of there feeling sharp as a tack.
I've had this experience before. Had a great VIP customer come to see me, but he brought a friend, which he never had before. He was ready to go to VIP, and he always gets 3 or more hours, but he wanted me to find a girl for his friend. I tipped one girl on stage, told her to come over, we're going right to VIP. She gets offstage and goes right to the DR. Tried it again with another girl. No luck. It took me about THIRTY MINUTES to find a girl willing to make a grand that I was hustling!!! And I work at the place! I know all these girls!
So believe me when I tell you, some people are really very ditzy!
(and that's the end of my rant lol)

Socialreject-
I've had this happpen a few times. usually end up with a dancer more motivated to give me a good time, which is usally better money spent since the true hustlers usually are better entertainers.
If no other dancers don't make me forget her,
I usually ask a waitress or bouncer who comes over if the dancer in quesiton would like to get paid to dance for me, and tell them exactly how many dances
I'd like to buy. Usually that gets the dancer to show up, or a suitable alternate
shows up to make me forget her.
