Hello ladies,
I was wondering if any of you work in clubs that have a makeup artist available to do your makeup? If so how much does it cost ? Do you think it's helpful to have one there? Thx!

I'd grab my trumpet and I'd do a stripper sound, like the old Louis Armstrong, real raspy. And the people would go nuts! Then I knew that the sexual, sensual, guttural sound, that throbbing sound, is where it's at.
We have two makeup artists. One of them charges $20 for a full face and applies makeup flawlessly. The other one charges $20 for eyes only, and the makeup he does looks like shit.

Our ex house mom was a makeup artist/hair stylist and she charged 25 for full face, an extra 5 for your own fake lashes, 10 for her fake lashes, and a five dollar min tip. She did okay but had a tendency to overdo it so I only had her do it once. Most girls would rather do it themselves, I think. I don't like people touching my face, personally.![]()
^wow intersting! Thanks for sharing. On a side note I love false lashes..to me they make such a difference on stage.

I've used a hair and makeup artist once at work. That was enough. He did the exact same makeup on every girl and he used truly low-quality products. I mean, if I'm paying to have makeup applied, I expect better than Cover Girl or Maybelline. He did a really bland smoky eye that didn't last very long. And he curled hair with a really shitty curling iron that should have been thrown away five years ago, and he had it turned up way too hot...I think he honestly didn't know enough about hair to know that fine blonde hair doesn't need the same heat that course or ethnic hair does. And the curls lasted all of an hour. I was really disappointed and a bit pissed...EVERYTHING I own is higher quality than anything he used. Makeup, styling tools, you name it. I mean, this wasn't like some big city club where they have great facilities or anything, this was just some independent "stylist" who was friends with one of the girls and showed up on weekends to try and make money.
But that one instance aside, I have always heard that club-employed makeup artists really have a tendency to do the same makeup on all the girls, so if you know how to apply makeup well and have a decent selection of makeup at home, you'll be better off applying your own makeup, saving the money on the stylist, and looking unique.

How do makeup artists in strip clubs get hired/paid? Tips only?

Our house moms are makeup artists, I really like the way one of them does my eyes then theres one who is not very good, we just pay them the tipout.
xoxo

I have one that comes in every Friday. They do it for free, but when you want false lashes it'll cost you $6.
I personally like to do my own, because they always seem to be doing something wrong. Especially eye glitter, ughhhhhh.

I wouldnt like to take a chance on a make up artist at work personally. I enjoy doing my own make up and its part of my ging to work routine, plus, i always do my face before i dry my hair so id feel weird with styled hair and a naked face going to work. There was talk of our club hiring a make up artist but i think a lot of the girls decided to vote no due to the potential wasting of time. If there was 1 make up artist and ten girls wanting their face done, how long before work would you have had to turn up to get it done in order to be ready before opening time etc.
''I love fake boobs''
''They're not fake! I grew them myself!''
Our club had really nice girls come add extensions that were sparkly plastic you could curl it, straighten it and so stripperific for like 10$ for 3 highlights. lotsa colors! and they have makeup artists everyone once in a while but it's half and half good or too much makeup and someone else touching your face which bothers me...
^^ hair tinsel!! or "hair flair" .. that stuff spread all over our club like WILDFIRE!! lol The craze is pretty much over now, maybe 5 girls still have it.
