I don't remember where on here, someone posted a site where you can find very cheap plane tickets and book rooms for very cheap. I think it was sort of like a bidding website. Does anyone know what site this is?
Thanks

Was it kayak.com? For airfare, you should also try Southwest.com. Their fares don't come up on other sites.

Hmm... You could be talking about priceline.com or hotwire.com. Sounds like hotwire.com. You can cross reference the rooms/stars/amenities that pop up on those websites with betterbidding.com as they have entire lists and recent bid histories. That gives you a very good chance that you'll know which hotel is available before bidding.
For flights I use kayak.com occasionally, which is just a giant aggregator of different airlines. It works well, but some airlines aren't included but it gives you an idea of flights and prices.

Priceline is the cheapest! You know I travel somewhere at least 8 times a year or more and I check all the sites for days before booking and priceline is always the best. I usually get the package ,hotel and flight and go with another girl. For that it's the absolute cheapest but if your going alone I would bid. I got a 4 star hotel in baltimore for 50 a night that went or 150.

I'm going to stay in Beverly Hills with my sister. Paying for her tickets too. It will not be cheap. lol.

^ Priceline is your bet bet then!

It's not a bidding site, but Travelzoo often has amazing deals.

I agree with others who have said priceline for hotels. I use it all the time for 3 1/2 and 4 star hotels.
Just do a regular priceline reservation search first, before going into the "name your own price" section, in order to get a list of hotels that they consider 3 1/2 and 4 star. If you would not have a problem staying at any of them, then you can hit the Name Your Own Price link and bid. As a rule of thumb, I bid at about a little less than half of what the median rates are supposed to be for the star category, so if I am going to an area where 4 star hotels are quoting an average of $229, I might start at $99. If they are quoting $189, I'd start at around $80. You get the idea.
Just be warned that you only get one bite at the apple when you bid for a star category in a particular area. If the bid is rejected, you have to wait 24 hours to bid again unless you change something.
Anyway, good luck.

Thanks everyone.![]()
