    Default I Can't Stop Feeling Sick/Nauseous

Okay so I can't stop feeling sick and nauseous. I haven't thrown up and doubt I will. But I just feel really sick. I had a cold that I thought might be allergies, and then it turned into bronchitis.

Then, when I started to feel better, I went out for sushi. Of course, after I had finished, I look in the inside of my water glass and there is a small roach like 1/8th of an inch and it was alive (moving its little tentacle things). I was really grossed out, but had already eaten. I just hoped I didn't eat any. And then like 3 hours after that, I became really sick stomach-wise because my body could not digest what I ate. I thought maybe it was psychological, but I really doubt it at this point because I can't eat anything without it passing right through me and feeling weird in my stomach. It feels different than food poisoning though because my body is fine when I don't eat. Its only when I eat/drink that I feel sick. Should I just stop eating for a couple days? I'm majorly dehydrated so I keep drinking water and keep feeling sick.

Whats up with this? And no, there is no way I'm pregnant.

I ate a bit yeah. The next day I ate broccoli. It didn't stay. Today I had yogurt and a blueberry muffin. Its only after I eat that I feel sick, which primes me not to eat which I think might make it worse because food clears out the system I'm sure. Even though I haven't eaten very much in like the last week, my stomach is swollen/very bloated.

If you could throw up, that'd probably be better for you, but it's probably been too long.

If you have food poisoning, you could try a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in a glass of water.
    http://www.earthclinic.com/CURES/food_poisoning.html

If you have any activated charcoal (or you can get at walgreens or such for maybe $7) you can take 1-2 pills to calm your stomach and it will absorb toxins. It can have a slightly constipating effect so drink a lot of liquids.

Since you might have some viral shit going on, I would recommend Lysine, also around $7. It's an amino acid that interrupts the replication cycle of a virus. If you're feeling really bad, you can take a gram an hour for five hours straight-- if you're just feeling so so, I would take those five grams throughout the day for several days.

If it's bacterial-- there's other stuff you can do-- earthclinic has a bunch of great stuff.

If it was just run of the mill nausea, I'd say ginger. But it sounds like you ate at a questionable place and could have picked up some gastroenteritis (lasts about a week of food-poisoning-like symptoms versus just a day or two of feeling like shit because of food poisoning) with a compromised immune system.

So just be really light with your food-- bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast (and you can burn toast to help absorb but I'd say just get the charcoal pills and eat your toast regular.)

edit: also if you have bentonite clay in the form of aztec clay used for masks, you can mix some of that in water to absorb some of the toxins.

have you/can you go to the dr.?

any history of gastric/acid reflux issues?

is it the same time frame each time after you eat for when the nausea strikes?

how many days has this been happening? you HAVE to get the dehydration taken care of ASAP. sooo many ppl get to the point of organ failure because they think a week isn't too long to be dehydrated and sick.

also at this point you need electrolytes in your drink. are you dizzy, faint, sweaty??

I can't throw up on command. That's probably a good thing lol.

I have only been to the dr for bronchitis.

I have psoriasis, lupus, arthritis, and major inflammation issues. Yes, I also have acid reflux. But I've never had issues like this.

I only feel sick when I eat/drink. I want to go to the dr, but I was just there like 4 days ago. Its only been happening like not even 4 days. I keep drinking water and then I feel sick. But I'm still drinking it. And eating a little bit. My stomach just won't shut up afterward and I feel like I shouldn't be eating anything after I eat. And then it passes right through me.

I'm not dizzy, faint, or sweaty. Just sick when I eat/drink and then really weak like I can't lift anything heavy. So weird.

I'm going to swallow some clay.

Okay I just swallowed a green tea capsule that I emptied and filled with Aztec clay. Should I drink some apple cider vinegar too?

Oh and I should also say, my friend who went with me isn't sick at all apparently. I tried both of his rolls, and he only tried one of mine.

I'm trying to figure out if this is from the sushi place, a random attribute of the bronchitis, a response to the cookie binge I went on which resulted in me getting a cold/bronchitis in the first place (I eat gluten very very sparingly), an attribute or something else, or just something really random. I usually opt for gluten-free items (especially when it comes to dessert) like parisian macarons or pudding, and once every couple weeks some bread or something with gluten. So I'm wondering is this is just a late response or if it was the sushi?

Or could this be like a parasite??? Ahhhh

Well, if it's a parasite, I highly recommend humaworm.com. My boyfriend, myself, and our two dogs are currently on it, and I've taken them twice before.

If you're massively dehydrated, you'll have to drink a lot of water to go along with the clay. I wasn't clear on the timeline so if it's been several days the clay, charcoal, and hydrogen peroxide are probably too late to absorb the stuff you ate though clay and charcoal can help a lot with stomach upset, gas (if you have any) and slow down the diarrhea-- can you clarify how many days it's been between each event?

If this goes on for a week or two more (I'm talking more about the massive stomach upset rather than the diarrhea which would probably send you to a doctor sooner), then you definitely have to get to a doctor. What are you eating now when you do eat? Are you sticking to easily digested food? Trying any natural juices to get calories and water in?

Has your bronchitis gotten worse or is it still going away like it was before going for sushi?

On the one hand, I don't want to tell you to stop the diarrhea because maybe your body is still trying to get rid of stuff-- BUT, if you have clay, and can burn some toast, then maybe it wouldn't hurt to try some of the anti-diarrhea options here
    http://www.earthclinic.com/CURES/diarrhea.html

I looked over the apple cider vinegar testimonies, and there were several people who wrote about how anything they ate would pass right through them, or they'd have severe cramps after eating-- so check that out.

I also noticed tumeric on the list, and I've made tumeric before-- if you want to try this, mix some tumeric in warm water, and you can add honey and lemon as well, and just slowly sip it. It might actually help your inflammation and other issues but seems to have a lot of positive reviews for combatting
    diarrhea.

This way it could buy you more time and you won't have to chug as much to stay hydrated. You would just have to stay on top of reading your body to see what's going on since you'd just be treating the symptom and not the root cause.

I started off with allergies or a cold which lasted for like 3 days, then bronchitis for like 3 days, then this for almost 4 days now. With no healthy time in between.

Bronchitis went away like the day before the sushi. Its been gone since. Food is above.

Please tell me the sushi place you went to so I can avoid it. I love sushi. While we are on the topic of local sushi, Zoah sucks.
It was one in Japantown. I'm not sure the name of it, but it is directly across from Benihana's in the Japantown mall and it has maroon half curtains hanging down at the entrance. I knew I should have gone to Benihana instead! You would think Japantown of all places would have the best sushi. Nope. There is one really good one in Japantown though that I've been to. But not in the mall. My favs in SF are Naked Fish, Sudachi (LOVE that place on weekend nights!), and Crazy Sushi.

sorry, I was editing while you were responding.

reread my last post as I added some stuff about tumeric tea which could help your other issues as well but seems to definitely work for diarrhea.

No advice-it seems to all be covered, but it sucks this happened to you. I had something similar happen to me before, and it turned out to be a parasite. *shudder* it was gross to think of something like that living in me. Yuck. I went to a doctor and they found it. eewwww

On the topic of sushi, I've had some EXCELLENT, BEST-EVER sushi here in Tokyo.

What did they have to do to find it? You just told the dr your symptoms and what did they do? (And what were your symptoms by the way?) I actually suspect its a parasite. I've never felt anything close to how weird this feels.

Try and drink lots of water, especially if you're unable to eat much to stay hydrated and flush out the bloating. Get better!!

Hmmm The only thing I can say is this sounds a lot like what happens to me with my food intolerances. Bloating, pain, nausea, headaches. Im intolerant to nightshades which include potato, tomato, eggplant, peppers and nicotine, avocados (most sushi here has that so I can't eat it), and probably a few other things Im not aware of because occasionally I can get the pain without eating one of those things. Before I realised what was causing it I think I had so much toxin in my system if I ate 1 of these things I could be sick for 4-5 days. Now because I never eat them if I do have a little bit nothing might happen or just a small discomfort for a few hours, but with avocado definitely even if I eat the smallest trace Ill be sick for the rest of the day. Maybe intolerance is the culprit?

*avocado is not a nightshade, but Im definitely intolerant to it...

As strange as this sounds, you know those little packets of alcohol wipes that come in first aid kits? Those are not only used to help disinfect wounds, but also to help with nausea. Open one up and waft up the scent, no direct sniffing...this will ease the nausea a bit. There are also a few good home remedies on earthclinic dot com.

Other remedies I use to help with tummy issues are:
Garlic soup-garlic is an antiseptic and helps to literally clean you out from the inside out. Take a few cloves, slice them up, boil them in some water and drink!

Lemon water: Lemon is also an antiseptic. Use lemon instead of just regular water!

ACV= Be careful if belly is upset! Alot of people do not drink ACV on its own, becasue it is very acidic. It must be balanced out with something basic, such as baking soda. I do drink ACV too, usually a few times a week, but I use WAY less..people recommend up to 2 tablespoons in a glass of water, I can only stomach about 1 teaspoon so far, building up to bigger and bigger servings. Check out earth clinic, but please go see a professional. If it is a parasite you may need a specific type of medication to help clear it up. Hope you feel better soon

Why dont you try a clear liquid diet and see if you feel any better? Since you dont feel like eating try it.

^ it won't really kill, per se. More just absorb. Make sure that you're still drinking a lot of liquids and taking things with a lot of liquid in them (soups, veggies, fruits.) Keep an eye out to make sure that you don't get constipated.

    Glad you're feeling better though

lol I already did. I think its the clay. From what I read, it said if I continually eat the clay, it will kill them because they're attracted to clay but clay is not digestible so it has to come out. So if you eat enough clay often enough, it will get rid of any parasites/bugs living inside as well as their eggs. I will probably also try that herbal concoction too.

hmmmm....interesting. I think clay also works for candida and sugar cravings, but I'd have to double check that.

anyways, cool! I just always worry about stuff like that because I remember the first few times I took psyllium husk and that was NOT a good bathroom experience for a week or so.
