    Default getting back to work

hey ladies, I am new to this site. My name is Renee and It is nice to meet all of you! I have looked on this site before, but was never a member,my sister has been for a while now. Sorry if this thread is alittle long but I need suggestions and help bad! I am 38 yrs old and starting dancing when I was 19-20. I was sober for the first 2 yrs I started and made good money. then I started drinking again and ect.... and it sort of went down- hill from there. anyway, I kinda had been dancing off & on for the next 10 -12 yrs. I have been sober now for 4-5 yrs and I can be around alcohol and stuff it does not really bother me anymore. I look better now than I looked the last time I danced. I work-out, take care of myself ect..I am 5'4 120 long curly red hair. I actually have tryed out 2 different clubs in the past 6 months, but I just get bored if there is not any customers in there and I leave by 9-10:00pm. Okay, as of the last month I am kinda unmotivated even to go to the gym I have to force myself. I got hired at this club rite down the street from me about a week ago and they said come in whenever days you want to(night shift) and I just can not seem to get the motivation to go in there.wtf, I was always a go-getter. maybe it is cause the last times I danced I get really discouraged if I havent made any money by like 10pm and leave. I have not danced steadily in 4-5 yrs. Any and I mean any suggestions, advice, help ect.. would be really a lifesaver!!!!! I need to get back in the swing of things, I need a car, apartment ect.... Thank You all!

Maybe a mod can move this to stripping general for you, you'll get more responses there this is to just say hi and introduce yourself. I've never even been in this section. Lol.

I'm not too much younger than you. Just wanted to say good luck! I've been dancing awhile and hopefully can still be going strong at your age.

Moved to Newbie board for you renee - I thought it might be more helpful. I know you are an experienced dancer but thought you might get the most feedback here since its coming back to the industry and advice that might pertain to newbies.

Maybe if you try to forget about some of your old bad habits when you danced before, like getting discouraged after 10pm when you havent made any money, itll help. Remember, you said you look better now than before!! Thats great and hopefully you stay away from drinking still! Sometimes when I feel discouraged about working, it helps me to just get in the shower, get ready, do hair and makeup anyway, so I LOOK ready and usually by the time Im done I have convinced myself to go in or else all the work I did on myself would be a waste, lol. By the time Im in the club and I hear the music and my heels are on, I FEEL ready. Just push yourself a little bit! Remind yourself on paper why you need to work and what your money is going towards, by the end of the night youll feel great about knocking hundreds off that list and youll be ready to come back tomorrow. Since you danced before, use it to your advantage! Also try to read around this site, hustle hut helped me SO much before I even got the balls to audition, so I went in there strong and ready to work! There's great help here if you look for it.

Thanks alot. I went back to work last week and I made some money and I wrote down all the things that I need it for and that seems to help. Every time a guy is an asshole or I'm tired I just think car, apartment, bills ect.... and I seem to hustle harder! lol
