I agree with the others that recommend Coconut oil because it is very light and great for skin. I'd also like to throw in Shea Butter too. Even though shea butter is far from light it works wonders for skin plus its a natural sunblock. I'd suggest getting unrefined shea butter for the best results and using it at night (or before you go to sleep) while using something that's lighter when you're out and about.

I think I'm going to try coconut oil now. I've been seeing too many articles about olive oil that is no good, and I'm not sure how to tell.

you know...the times i did the raw diet my skin looked sooo perfect. those are the only times i ever really ate avocados. i thought my skin was looking good because of not eating any junk. but now i wonder if all the avocados were a big part of it.
about oils.. i didnt like coconut oil on my face. i don't remember exactly why though but i know i didnt use it for long. maybe it dried out my skin because i didnt use it long enough?
i am going to try using castor oil ...i just got some because its supposed to be good for growing eyelashes but i have heard good things about it on skin too. i will report back.

I will be the first one to say that yes, castor oil does make your lashes longer. It has made mine thicker too but I'm guessing it depends on the individual. Regardless if it grows or not you will still be conditioning your lashes therefore preventing them from going brittle and falling out prematurely, especially if you wear falsies on a nightly basis.

Tarte brand has this sold @ Sephora too: http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/prod...t80174#details
This is what I do.
I take half castor oil and half olive oil. I rub it all over my face for about 5 minutes..Take a clean hot wash cloth and I will then sit there and let it steam. this will open the pores and let the oils dissolve all the crap in your face. I then rinse the cloth and repeat a few time...once i am done steaming I will rinse and lightly rub off the oil. I then pat dry. I do not need moisturizer and if i do....i take a small drop of castor oil and olive oil and massage into my skin. I have no problems with my skin now. My skin is very nice, smooth...and I have no problems with it anymore. I really believe in oils....because they do not strip your skin like some retail face washes.and it last a long time.
Well, I'm motivated... Avacados and rose hip oil it isI think i'll do a before and after.

I eat an avocado a day and my skin and hair are awesome compared to when I ate no avocados. Also, if you want the most amazing soft skin ever take Tonalin CLA, about 4,000-6,000 mg a day. THere is a huge thread on Tonalin CLA here in body business if you search for it. The results are crazy fast too, in a about a week to two weeks.
I use coconut oil and occasionally mix it with vitamin E when I put it on my face in the winter months I use a coconut oil and raw shea butter mixture

I've been using L'oreal Age Perfect oil, w/8 types of ess. oils, rosemary, lavender, etc. It is NOT greasy @ all. What I like is the dropper, you can put a few drops on hand & rub it in.
Got a trial size @ Walgreens for 6.99

I'm stealing this from Simone, but rose hip oil has been great for me. I use a retinol and rose hip oil on the parts of my face that have worse pigmentation, or these weird red spots I have from old breakouts. I also use Bio Oil on any scars I have on my body (BA scars and a few others from childhood accidents) and it works great. My skin routine right now is, make up remover, milk face wash, toner, retinol, rose hip oil, and another moisturizer in the morning (and do an exfoliating treatment twice a week). I haven't had a pimple in months, let alone a breakout, and my skin is sooo soft and the red spots have really dimmed. I go out without make up all the time. And seriously, if we had seen me over the summer before I implemented all the oils, you would not recognize my skin now.
I also second avocados, they are great for a lot of things.

I use generic vitamin E oil under or before I put my moisturizer on when my skin is very dry.
