    Thumbs up C910 Question

Hi I'm Jolie. I wanted to start off saying that I'm new to this (just signed up with Streamate) and found this site last week. You all seem so real... I've been a little overwhelmed and after reading a lot of the threads here, I feel a lot less nervous. So thank you all!

I'm all set-up and ready to go, but when I logged in the other night, I noticed my C910 does some kind of panning/zoom/focus when I move. I want to get the picture stationary but have no idea how to do that. I don't even know what to call this issue so I googled it, went to logitech forums. I can't find anything about anyone else having this problem. I don't think the camera is flawed. I just don't know how to get it to stop zooming and focusing.... I uninstalled the software it came with, then installed the newest version. I unchecked all the auto boxes... everything that I can think of.... Has anyone else encountered this??

I THINK this is whats going on with yours... you may have "follow your face" checked in your settings..

    To un-check:

    Open your Logitech Webcam Software
Click on "Quick Capture" at the top
Click on "Webcam Options" on the bottom right
    UN-check "Follow my face"

That should do it..You will be able to see your preview when you check it or un-check it. We do couples cams so ours is always off.

I think it's the auto-focus. I keep turning it off but when I go into the webcam controller, the auto-focus is checked again. But I unchecked it and sure enough, the picture is stationary. I really thought auto-focus was disabled. Oh well, at least I've got it figured it out now!

Face-detection was not enabled so that's not what was causing it. Must be the auto-focus. Thanks for your help!!

Hmmm....my auto focus is checked when I opened it too..but it has never affect our cam unless I stuck my ass/puss REALLY close to cam...and even then, it would get blurry for a sec. I then, wiggle my fingers a little close to cam and it goes back to focus. But hell, that may be why it even does that! Let me see if I can get it to stay off "auto focus" ....

ok...so I un-checked auto focus and moved my ass as close as I could to it. It DID NOT do that annoying blur shit, and I didn't have to wiggle my fingers to make it focus! =)

I closed it completely out and re-opened to see if it was still set the way I had it (auto focus un-checked & follow my face un-checked) and it was.. Mine saves all the settings from the time I close it... hmmm Wish I could help!! You may have to just adjust it everytime you log on to a site, which it will pull up the controller (or should) when you do. Until we can figure out how to save your settings! Mine just does...so I dunno =(

Do you use a splitcam program ? That detects the options from the Logitech software first time started, so when you have disabled all in Logitech, you have to disable it in the splitter software too.
