Default New dancer! What do I do?

I tried a pole dancing class recently and was able to do a few moves. Haven't danced in years. I got good responses from like 5 clubs, but I have no way to my auditions!!! What do I do. Is there any posting thread here that suggest car pooling from Monmouth County to North New Jersey. Help~!! I have bills to pay!!

Is there any public transit? Perhaps you could start out with day shifts since buses/metros tend to run during the day and then get yourself a car/pay for cabs once you've earned some money. Or there's always just cabbing, which a lot of ladies do.

When I started dancing, I'd take 2 buses and a train to work, and then a cab and a train home, and it took forever to make the journeys. But I'd do it and work doubles every time I did it, and pretty soon I could afford my own used car and then after that, I could go to the club as much as I liked and make more.

Is there any kind of public transportation, or maybe take the bus/train as close as you can and then cab it for the rest of the way? Work as much as you can while you're doing that. You might find that once you get settled in at a club, you'll be able to get a ride from one of the girls there in exchange for some gas money.

Few, if any, dancers are going to want to help you get to and from work. It means working around your schedule, working the same hours at the club, not being able to leave work if you are busy, etc. I used to drive my best friend to and from work every day and it really gets to be a pain. I would be waiting for her to get ready when I told my customer I would be there at a certain time and stuff like that. In this business, you shouldn't rely on anyone but yourself. I agree with everyone else about taking cabs and public transit. Your club will probably recommend a trustworthy cab driver for you so you don't have to feel unsafe leaving at the end of your shift with cash. And while you're doing that, don't forget to SAVE so that you can buy yourself a car in a couple of months!!

You're right. Few girls are not going to be super catty that I am the new chick there and want to offer friendship and a ride. I will save this month and actually allow for a few cab/train rides and let you know how it goes.
