Default paying your male for B/G content

I am a single mother and I don't have a boyfriend, well not really.
I've been seeing this guy and our sex is just phenomenal. I had told him I wasnt interested in him at all until I realized he could help me make B/G content. So now I am sleeping with him exclusively and we are filming twice a week knocking out 4 videos a shoot.
Thing is, he wants to be paid.
I can appreciate that he isnt my boyfriend and he needs money too but this is kind of a thorn in my side. I could find a million guys to do this for free but I'm sexually attracted to him and Im not a slut, I only sleep with one guy at a time.
I offered him 50% of my sales income after the site takes their cut. We are also using his place which is effin dope.
So, how would you feel about this and would you do it? Am I giving him too much $$ ? I mean I am the one doing all the techie work....Opinions?

Make sure you get him to sign some sort of a contract saying that the videos are now yours and he has signed over his rights to you. Do it for every video you create, describe in detail what the video was about, the price point/percentage you agreed on, and both of you sign it and date it. Also make him note that he recieved his payment from you (signed and dated). Have both of your ID's scanned and copied, seperately and have face shots with holding up your ID's to the camera. Keep copys of everything and keep it in a file for records somewhere.

You never know if he will go crazy and run off and try to sue you for the "dirty videos" you have on the internet - and! without documentation, he could argue that it was against his consent.

Better to be safe than sorry. Dealing with a fuckbuddy/friend/even boyfriend, husband - this can get nasty. Happens all the time.

As for the paying thing...bummer you already offered. I would have said "See ya!" and found someone for free. lol. I accidentally did this with a friend though and had offered to pay him for video work with me.

Some of the other girls were helpful and offered this, which I agree with: Give him a minimum base price. $100-$150 for 12 or so videos. Then let him have 10%-15% of the video profits for the next three months.

You are setting up the scene/ideas, and doing the tech and promo work. All he is, is a prop. So yes, 50% is too much IMHO.

Edit to add: Don't ever give him copies of the videos/photos, passwords to accounts, anything related. You don't know if he'll be slimey and post it to a tube site behind your back, try to sell it himself, etc. If he wants a video...he'll need to buy it full price. Lol.

50% is too much if you factor in taxes. Self-employment tax is about 30%, so the most you should be paying him is 35%, which, when you take out taxes, is technically 50.

a guy in porn is kind of a walking dildo. this is your job, and yes you like him but working with him will cut your profits dramatically which makes no sense to do when you can find another free cock to make content with. Im just looking at it from a business standpoint. if you like him, continue to fuck him...you'll probably ruin the sexual chemistry between you guys if you continue to make content. This is just what i would do. Why throw away money when you can replace him for free.

LOL Well, you can't blame the guy for wanting to get paid. After all you are making money off the sex ya'll are having.

Contracts keep people friends. Spells out exactly what each person gets & their responsibilities.
    1099 & 2257 his ass too.

Men always think this is easy money & lots of money. He will need a password or access to the stats, proving you are paying him out the right way.
You will need him to sign a model release form & 2257 for each scene. So if he ever does take you to court your ass is covered.

50/50 split isnt fair, is he doing all the editing, uploading & marketing? He should be paid out 30%.

Welcome to the world of porn. REality of making fantasy can be a major job. Paperwork, payouts & trying to make a profit.

    Smooches,
    Sam

Okay I may get shot down, but if I want to shoot with a guy regardless of our personal relationship I have a contract drawn up, get a release, and pay him up front. I shoot my content and I reap the profits. His payment is a deductible expense. Granted the guys I am working with are doing fetish stuff but they still enjoy it. If I shoot at their place I throw in some extra cash for that. When I film with someone it's strictly business. Hell my girl and I are going on 6 years and we still do contracts etc, and I pay her. Business is business.

Very Easy. Pay him $75-$150/shoot (depending on how generous you feel), make him sign a release form that clearly states you OWN the content and he is selling his image. He has no right to any profits you may make on resale. Make a receipt and write it off on this years' taxes. Problem solved.

I have a friend who makes bank off content made with her own husband. Of course she pays him and it's an immediate write-off. Yes, as a model, his is entitled to compensation but a percentage is far too generous. One-time payment is more than fair enough.

okay?! He was trying to hook up with me and I shot him own then once I came to him about the content idea all of a sudden he wants money. Im like hello?1 you wanted it for fun, now you want paid? And, as a model he should be able to ACT but no, he puts the lights in the wrong places, looks at the cam all weird and has no creative input. If I wanted a PRO I'd pay them. This guy is just my stuntcock.
Anyways we've done 4 shoots Ive sold the vids a few times and next week I plan on kicking him down $100. He isnt the sharpest knife in the drawer, and he thinks he can play with the big girls he's really just trying to ride my coat tails. But, at this point Im just trying to protect my investment.

Yes, that is how male talent really are in the adult biz. They try to lock down a brand new model so they can pimp her out & guarantee themselves shoots with her for all the companies. Most male talent are shit & their girlfriends got them into the biz.

Yeah, 50% is WAAAY too high. I agree with a lot of the things said. He isn't the one putting the videos online, marketing them, advertising, dealing with the sites you stick them on, any accounts, nothing. He gets to have "phenomenal sex" with you and it sounds like he is doing pretty well for himself if his place is a good place to shoot.

He doesn't earn half because he's basically stunt cock. People are getting drawn to the videos, I'm assuming, because you've already established yourself and have some people following you and have worked to get there. There would only be a few cases in which I would give him a higher percentage because at this point I'd give him 30%.

Since he has a nice place, use it for content of yourself. Film solo videos or solo shoots and have him be the camera man. That way he is putting in actual labor towards the project instead of enjoying the benefits of just the sex. If you cam, ask to do cam shows from there and offer some couple's specials on a site where you can. Basically, think of everything you can get out of this situation that would work for you and if he agrees to help, he can earn his 50% for the couples videos because he would be working to help you.

Before you agree to ANY arrangement...have this shit in writing. Even if you think you guys have an understanding, doesn't matter. Every person you do business with despite your personal relation gets treated like every other business partner. I made that mistake once of helping a girl out with launching her solo site and built the entire preview area and she then decided she wanted a hardcore site and wanted everything changed after I had 1700 photos taken of her. Today she has a solo site that looks very similar to the one I made and I never got a damn dime. CREATE AN AGREEMENT AND SIGN THAT SHIT AND MAKE IT CLEAR AS HELL.

I am jealous you got a male to work with. Finding people to do sex work with is really hard...especially when your married. And you being a single mom and supporting yourself and your child, think of everything you can do that can bring in money but always think it through and make sure it's all in writing.
