I used to work at the Lusty Lady in Seattle. Before Washington Mutual was bought out by Chase, we'd have the WaMu bankers stop by on their lunch break, and we certainly had a "lunch rush". Freakin' bankers. They sure love sex workers!
Goodbye Seattle Lusty Lady, where every Miss is a Hit, and every Hit is Missed. 1985-2010.
In one of my literature classes in college, I remember reading Lysistrata by Aristophanes. It's a comic account of one woman's extraordinary mission to end The Peloponnesian War. Lysistrata persuades the women of Greece to withhold sexual privileges from their husbands and lovers as a means of forcing the men to negotiate peace — a strategy, however, that inflames the battle between the sexes.
The plot of the play reminds me of this thread.
