    Good morning ladies!
    I'm trying to increase my hours on cam so I've decided to add an additional shift at night, but I'm crazy exhausted and I need to figure out asleep schedule that will give me the energy to keep this up indefinitely.

    Right now I work on SM from 9am until around 1 or 2pm. Then I usually go to the gym or work out at home, run any errands I need to that day, and then try to write for a few hours (writing is my side gig even though it's not paying much right now).
    Last night I did all that and then hopped on another site from 7pm-9:30pm. By the time I was done cleaning up, winding down, then making and eating dinner I didn't get to bed until midnight. I wake up at 7am so it seems like that should be enough sleep, but between two cam shifts, a 5 mile run, and hours of reserch for my writing I am pooped!

    So my question to all you ladies who split your shifts up is: how do you manage your sleep schedule so you have the energy? Do you take naps in between shifts, or does your body just adjust to it after a while? I recently increased my exercise routine dramatically so that could be contributing to why I'm so tired. I dunno. While yesterday was very productive I felt like I had no "me" time. I want to keep up camming for two shifts/day but I need to make some adjustments to my schedule. Advice?

    Oh, and I don't want to change my morning shift on SM because all of my regs are online at that time and know I am too. My evening shift is on xpeeps, I am brand new to that site so I don't really have a schedule yet; I'm willing to experiment with my hours on there. Thanks!

    Short naps suck for me. I wake up exhausted. Depending on the time of day I go to sleep it varies between 5 to 9 hours that I actually need to sleep. My schedule seems to be constantly revolving though.

    Same here! Also it tends to trigger migraines. I'm still struggling to find a schedule that lets me work busy times plus still feel like I'm human and not a zombie

    Caffeine nap? Why have I never heard of such a thing before?! I drink 3-6 cups of coffee per day while I'm on cam, I think I might have to try this out.

    Naps really never worked for me, mostly because I'm an insomniac and I have a terrible time falling asleep and staying asleep. My GP has put me on numerous prescription sleep aids and none of them work for me, she doesn't understand it. I was recommended to go get evaluated at a sleep clinic but I ended up moving out of state and I never followed through.

    Anyway, I think I will try to force myself to nap and stock up on more coffee and low carb Monsters just in case I still wake up groggy. Half the time when I am able to nap I feel refreshed, but the other half of the time I end up feeling more tired than before so I'm a bit hesitant. Still, I'm so freaking exhausted I will try anything at this point.

    If anyone else has any more tips or advice on how you balance your cam schedule with your sleep schedule by all means, keep sharing

    I feel the same you do, so I am trying to sleep at 8p or so and then cam around 1:30a-2:30a and for 4hrs intil 7a then get my little girl to school then go back to camming at 10a to2p and that is my day I am going to try this out I hate working all night then to take care for a 3yr so I am trying this out hope this helps keep my posted

    Eye masks are fucking amazing for those of you that have trouble sleeping. I conditioned myself by only going to bed when I'm exhausted and putting the eye mask on. Done right, you'll condition yourself to even be able to sleep BETTER with it on. Now if I'm having trouble falling asleep when I'm exhausted, that's all it takes to knock me out. I don't take naps, but I bet it wouldn't be too much harder to condition yourself to do with a sleep mask. I also can't take short naps (unless an hour or two is short >_> ) so you might have to make room for an hour or two long nap. I also used sleeping pills and chamomile tea at one point to help my body condition itself.

    Eye masks sound like a very good idea to help me fall asleep and get a good nap in between shifts. I have a homemade ghetto eye mask my ex left behind that I have tried, but it doesn't feel comfortable so it's more annoying than helpful. Maybe if I pick up a proper mask that migh do the trick.

    Personally, I cannot take sleeping pills. The prescription ones weren't bad, they just weren't effective. But OTC sleep aids? Oh, they work, but I'm still not able to function the next day. Taking over the counter pills regardless of the brand always made me feel spacey and uncoordinated the next day. It is the weirdest feeling, like when I move my brain can't quite catch up to where my body is in space and in relation to other body parts. Even lifting my arms is just plain trippy the day after taking OTC sleeping pills. Just a heads up to girls who may be considering them, don't try them if you have to do anything important the next day, as they may mess you up. Although, it might be kinda fun to cam while in that state, I don't think toppling over on my bed because I've lost my balance is quite sexy

    I wish power naps helped me. I also take a nap and wake more tired than before. I feel groggy and sluggish the rest of the day then have trouble sleeping at night. They suck balls for me =( I wish they would help because I pull lots of all nighters. Especially when my little guys has to get ready for school at 6am.

    If prescriptions don't work, why not try natural alternatives like melatonin or valerian?

    This is a very good idea, but I personally make shit on the two private only sites I'm on (MGF and StripVille). I'm sure I could make more if I was putting in the effort, but that would mean putting in time browsing for and messaging guys and not writing, ya know? For me, as much as free chat can annoy me at times, that's really what I'm most successful at. Plus, if I'm deep in the middle of researching string theory for an article I'm writing and I get a chat request from a guy wanting a 10 minute cum show for $5 I may have a mega freak out at being interrupted over something so stupid

    I know a couple of people who've had good success with melatonin, thank you for reminding me! I think I will pick some up this afternoon. If I could actually sleep soundly from midnight to 7am I think I'd be okay, but the fact that I constantly wake up in the middle of the night is making it harder for my body to recover from working more than I am used to.

    ^Melatonin could definitely help with that, but you'll probably have to experiment with how long it takes for it to kick in. Like if I take 2 10mg pills, it MIGHT kick in in a half hour, but if I just take one, I'm all "I don't think this melatonin is work-zzzzzzz" two hours later xD

    It would definitely be helpful to experiment with it when you don't have plans for the next day, since it can sometimes make you groggy the next day until you figure out what dosage works for you.

    I just bought a bottle of Melatonin, they're 5mg pills. I think I will start with one and see how it works. I just got off cam and I want to take one now and go to bed. I don't think I'm giving myself enough time for it to kick in but I am kind of terrified of getting nightmares so I'll work my dosage up gradually if need be.

    For those of you who've taken melatonin, have you experienced night terrors or lucid dreams while taking it?

    Hi....I use melatonin and have never had any bad or unpleasant dreams associated with it. I have the 1mg so that I can tweak my dosage as needed. I don't need to take it every night but when I do take it, I take between 2-3mg. I read before that lower doses work better so if you find that 5mg is not working for you after a few days, cut the pill in half evenly so that you can try is at 2.5mg. I got walgreens brand and they work pretty good considering they were only $4.99 and it was buy one get one free.

    I've never had any particular issues with dreams, or at least none that aren't unusual for me anyway. I take the 10mg because I have a completely nuts metabolism and it's easier for me to start with a higher dose and work my way down. Not like I have anything to do in the morning anyway xD

    Hmmm...I've never head of Melatonin. I always used Unisom which I didn't really like cause it knocked me out. Like to the point where I slept waaaay too long and felt groggy the entire next day. Hopefully Melatonin isn't as bad.

    You're more likely to experience strange dream patterns upon stopping any sleep aid , the mind has to get used to sleeping a little more actively , and it can be the reason behind vivid/lucid dreaming and nightmares.... However in my experience it's only ever shortlived, and seems to be just during the adjusment period. x

    When I am trying to work long hours I find that I need to really simplify my schedule as much as I can so that I am basically damn near only working and sleeping. So when I know I want to increase my hours I have to sacrifice other things that are not obligations and combine as much things as I can too save time. Basically my schedule is sleep, work, only mandatory obligations. So for me when I am working 16hour days I will skip my traditional workout and then try to incorporate "working out" on cam. Maybe dance and tease more in free chat to get a little workout going throughout the day. Or if I am in private mode only sites then of course you can work out then. Move workout equipment near work area. As far as errands go I try to run my errands on one day when I know I want to work long hours for the week. So then that saves me time as well.
    As far as eating and meals go..it is best to buy easy and fast to make meals so cooking does not take time but also healthy food because that adds to your energy when you want to work more.
    Might of fact I do my morning meditation while in the shower getting ready. Saves time.

    But honestly whenever I do long hours and I mean when I work 16+hour days and sometimes 24hours days ( I have done about 176 hours in a 2week span before and about 309 hours in one month for camming..LOL ...I track my hours) I only sleep and work for the majority of my day/night. I do not have any me time or anything.LOL When I am not working I am sleeping and vice verse.


    I worked all typed of crazy hours sometimes straight 16hours and sometimes I split shifts and sometimes I just go ham do 24hours...It is not easy and it is very exhausting but things that helped was just really making it so my schedule is as smooth and simple as possible. Really...the more rest you can get the better but of course there is alot of 5hour and 3hour sleep days too but the more time you can make it so you are working and sleeping the better. try not to combine too much else in there if you ca until you are back to a less demanding schedule.But that is what work for me.

    I have to make sure I am getting atleast a good workout daily and healthy eating to do long work days for energy since sometimes working takes my sleep time too. Then when that fails I have to turn to thing like Sugar Free Redbull and Super B-complex vitamins ad if I am really going hard I add 5hour extra energy. Yes, it is not healthy to do that but for me it gets the job done and helps me at times.


    I have some vanilla from work at home jobs too including writing and like UKmissy suggested...sometimes doing your writing jobs in private mode can help. I sometimes do my work that does not require much in private mode. It may make the prvt slower while in private but it is good for a break and then also while you are waiting, you can be making money anyway and if you get a show then that is just added bonus.

    Or if you want to stay in free chat and all that, you could just do research for your topic (writing/articles). So open another window and somehow book mark, copy paste, email, notes , etc while in free chat so whenever you are done with cam work or do go into private chat you have done most of the writing jobs work as far as research goes. Just have to multitask.

    But really I am always trying to find another way to keep and sustain my energy. For the last few month I was surviving on 5hour sleep but I was close to becoming burnout so now I do anywhere from 5-8hours any given day so I won't make myself exhausted. I mostly do 6hours now and then lots of 5hours, and maybe 8hours when I really need it.

    But yeah I wish I knew a formula that was simpler to stay energized and wide awake for long hours and days..LOL I just try to blast music, cold water on the face, dance, etc..helps sometimes... Oh and think of the goal while I work not money. The money will come so I try not to think about it since it can take it's time to gradually come and that won't help with my sanity...But when I realize how much closer I am getting to my goals, it makes me want to work more! HTH =)

    Hopefully you figured out what works... I'm kind of in the same predicament as you.
    But, instead of writing, I have full time college classes and homework, and my Senior Thesis.
    For now, I alternate between naps and crazy amounts of caffeine. If I have a couple hours during the day I'll nap for a bit and then cam all night. Or, if I couldn't take a nap, I drink a lot of Redbull (love Redbull <3).
    This probably isn't exactly healthy... so, if you found a better way to deal, you should post it!

    Hah, no, I have NOT found a better way to deal, unfortunately. Since I wrote this post I've started talking to a guy who works second shift and the only time we get to talk is when he gets home just before midnight, so my schedule is all over the place. Coffee is really the only thing that gets me through my 10 hour shifts, I know it is NOT healthy but...

    So my schedule is, wake up at 7:30am, clean, shower, etc., get on cam around 9am, cam until 11:30pm (with several breaks in between, some longer than others but not long enough for "nap time", just meal time and some tv for a mental break), talk to my boo until 3am, do it all over again... My schedule sucks

    I've heard good stuff about sleeping for 4 hours twice in a 24 hour period, rather than one session of 8 hours sleep.

    It's a pattern I fell into by accident a while ago, and I did feel OK energy-wise, it just didn't work with what I needed to do. But I was waking up unaided after the four hours and feeling OK, which is like a miracle for me cos I'm a biiiiig sleep lover. The only negative was that every time you wake up you think it's a new day, and it's not!

    As an example, if you slept both the 3-7 shifts, you could do your morning streamate and errands in that 8 hour block, sleep again 3-7, then there's running, writing and an extra cam shift in the second 8 hour block?

    I've been there done that with the energy drinks and pills, but I personally think it ends up biting you in the arse eventually.
