    Angry 5'11 and 122 lbs??

I still feel like I look fat in pictures, is it OK to photoshop it a bit to look slimmer for ads?

Or is that a no no? I've heard a lot of hobbyists/clients griping about photoshopping, but it's either that, or look like a heifer when I technically shouldn't. I look OK in the mirror too, and my body fat percentage is around 17%, but something about photographs makes me look like a lardass.

This is for escort ads, btw...

Also, what's the ideal weight RANGE for someone 5'11? I've had massage clients ask me whether I was eating enough, or mention being afraid to break me, but the girls in Playboy magazine are half my size. Maybe it's the Playmates' enormous boobs that fool them.

It's all very confusing, I don't know what I should look like to appeal to the most people. There are too many mixed messages.

I'm 5'9" and around 135. I think you're fine. I deal for 5'11" can range from 120 to 165, depending on your body type.

Crazy! You must have a super small frame! I am 5' and weigh about 114. I am competitive runner/triathlete and my body fat is around 13%.

It baffles me that you look fat! I wanna see a photo. I totally don't believe you.

It sounds like you are not really seeing yourself how you truly appear. I would consider most girls in Playboy fit-average size.. whereas 5'11" at 122 sounds very thin. Of course depending on your proportions you may have a problem area you are focusing on. As far as ads I see no problem with a little bit of photoshop but dont get carried away because customers will compare you to the photo and will not be happy if the difference is obvious.

That sounds super-thin. I'm 5'4" and weight 140 atm, and stripping weighed between 125-135 and guys loved it. You are probably being too critical of yourself.

As for photoshop, don't go crazy because people notice that stuff and you may get less calls because of photoshop than if you'd just posted an original photo.

Well hrm...Tyra is 5'10" and at the height of her modeling career, she was around 120-125lbs...definitely not fat. And she's admitted shes put on about 30lbs since those days, and she still isnt anywhere near fat. It doesn't sound like a body perception thing...

In the meantime..I am also 5'10"...and well, Im not even going to say my weight But when I was at my lowest weight as an adult, I was about 140 and a size 2...I lost my butt and had no shape at all... But I do remember being 150 and thinking I was huge....what a difference 10lbs and perception makes. Nowadays...I would LOVE to be 150 again and liken myself to a beached whale

Anyway, I kind of know what you mean about photos....I have the opposite problem though. When I see myself in pics, I think I look thinner than I am, and guys are going to be disappointed to see that I am bigger. But all the time, I hear that I look just like or better than my pics and always think that I must work out a lot... so on some level, Im aware that I dont see myself for how I really look, but on another level, I know Im much bigger than my happy weight, so... I would say, dont mess with your pics. If someone says something or feels you misrepresented, then go for it. But like me, you may have a perception of yourself and how you look that isnt how others see you.

Yup... I'm 5'3" and weigh 120, with no fat to lose.

5'11" and 122 puts your BMI at 17... I know BMI isn't a perfect measurement, but 17 is bordering on severely underweight.

Healthy weight range for your height is 135-175 or so.

As far as looking fat in pictures, maybe you mean you don't look toned? I can't imagine how a picture could possibly make you look fat at that weight.

I'm like 5'8" or 5'9" and I weigh between 120-125... and I am pretty freaking skinny.

ETA: Sometimes I feel like I look "fat" in pictures. Obviously not REALLY fat, but you know what I mean. This can happen if I am bloated that day, or sometimes the pose I am in. And not gonna lie, I once photoshopped a picture for my facebook... It was a really cool picture, but I looked like I had a double chin which I obviously do not, it was just an awkward angle. So I "fixed" it... I regret nothing!

Consider how you're posing in photographs, perhaps? If you think you look fine in the mirror, you're probably either being too critical of your photos, or just choosing unflattering angles. 5'11" and 122 sounds great to me.

Dude... suck it in... You are not fat. Consider your poses/posture when you take pics. Little things make a great deal of difference.... but seriously from everything I know 122lbs for a 5'11 girl sounds UNDERweight.

I also want to add that there is nothing wrong with GOOD photoshopping. If it is subtle no one knows.

I look *very* toned...the problem I think is that I have a large frame (as in, big boned) - and so I appear wider than I'd like.

you either have a skewed perspective of your own body, bad poses, or a broken bathroom scale lol

Practice posing in the mirror? And relax and flip through King magazine or something instead of Vogue for a change

Same here. In my last club, the owner called me "line backer". But sometimes, the brightside is looking like 40 pounds lighter and/or nobody believing your true weight.

Wow, you are thin as hell. You see yourself as something you're not, obviously. I'm 5'6" and about 130-126 (my weight changes a lot). People tell me I look like I weigh 110 lbs though, and that I look frail and weak. This has gotta be a troll.

I don't think you have a skewed perception of your body, if you have a straight waist it will automatically give the illusion that you are much larger from a front view than it would a side view.

Juts because she feels like she looks fat doesn't make her a troll. Someone could have a naturally thin frame and look good with a lot more weight, than someone who weighs less but just carries it in all the wrong places. I'm 5'3 and 115lbs and I think I look chubby when I look in the mirror.... I know it's actually a normal weight and I don't have any kind of body dysmorphia, it's just that it all goes to the worst places.

OP, I think everyone touches up their pictures to a certain extent, but don't go too crazy. The last thing you want is for guys who want stick-thin girls to feel like you ripped them off, while guys who want more natural women pass you up because you've made yourself look too thin. I would just switch up your poses instead, or maybe try some lingerie that hides the areas you don't like
