I stumbled on this by accident, after I had landed my first real day job, but wouldn't be starting for a few weeks. Didn't know what to do so I kept dancing.
Instead of hustling, I decided to just go to the club to have fun, and not worry AT ALL about my money, instead just letting it pile up. I would approach each customer, but not pressure them for dances or tips, and just chat for a bit. If they tipped me, that was great, but if they didn't, I didn't make them feel cheap, or rushed, and would just excuse myself to go on stage, or to the bathroom. Even had a signal for the DJ to page/rescue me from a jam.
Know what? My earnings DOUBLED! It was also no stress, since I didn't dance for anyone who creeped me out, and because I wasn't worried about the money, I didn't come off as greedy. One guy the other dancers were complaining about tipped me $300 because he said I didn't seem money-hungry.
The moral? Don't overthink. BE that fun girl they go to the club to see, rather than some brand name trying to maximize her revenue. You might even find some interesting conversations, or guys who can help you out with what (or who) they know even if they aren't loaded themselves. You also might get out of your rut, have more fun, and make *more* money. I know it's tough to do if you have bills to pay, but letting that get to you can be a buzzkill and a moneykill.
Anyone else ever try this?
