    Default The new b*tch!

Ok so there are really no friends in this industry. So much drama, people willing to throw you under the bus, and chicks with no respect when it comes to fucking up your money. I just want to know some of your worst experiences with being the new girl at a club (like things girls said or did the moment you walked into the door or dressing room) or the worst thing they did to fuck up your money so far in your time dancing.

Nothing. The best thing to do is mind your own business, do not talk to the other dancers, and ignore them.

I keep my eyes on the prize... I don't have the time or the energy to focus on other dancers. Their opinion of me counts for very little. If someone went out of their way to sabotage me, I would bring it to the managers attention.

I don't think that this happens at most clubs. In my experience (18 clubs, many cities...) is to just keep your head down and work. I think you would be surprised to find out how few clubs are the drama bombs that we hear about. And most of them are certain girls within the club... not the whole club.

When I started at a new club, its the well known, tourists area, of 100-150 girls. On stage tricks arent that popluar and we have 1 girl on stage of 3 songs going nude on the 3rd - we dont get tips either. Anyway the stage is big and high, 2 poles, lots of lights, and mirrors, all attention is on the one girl. I went on stage as the club required it, the girls that worked there knew I was new. Anyway, the first day I went there, there was so many blondes and fake boobs, I was an a cup and it was so awkward working there first of all, but then a team of girls teamed up and started staring and pointing. I just looked back at them and they stopped. I now work there but have a boob job, but there standards got lower that if I was an A cup there now it wouldnt matter.

wow, how mean. I can't understand how small boobs could be a reason to make fun of somebody. The worst thing girls did to me was telling customers I had a pimp (I didn't of course). Other than that, my experiences with my co-strippers have been really really positive.

I started at a club famous for drama, and although I was working dayshifts, I caught the attention of the owner's gf's bff and her when I danced to 'her' songs, which happened to be by the rolling stones. Additionally I successfully hustled a guy she had been talking to in passing at the bar when she was making no money so she accused me of stealing customershj. Aside from screaming @ me in the dr and in front of custies, she spread rumors that I was doing dirty dances and under charging etc she ended up getting me fired. I wasn't that bummed, but you can definitely get pulled into club politics and bs even if you keep your head down and don't talk to anyone like I did. Unfortunately I pissed someone off that had power.

A girl I did a VIP show with told lies to that same customer that apparently I blabbed to everyone how I got down and dirty in the show room. Having that guy lecture me on keeping my mouth, and telling me I had too much that night really pissed me off, even though I explained. I barely speak to anyone at work, nor do I drink. So fuck you to the girl. And that custie.

I had a girl freak out on me for charging more for dances that included touching. Basically, all the girls allowed touching in the club and it was a nude bar (I kept my panties on though) and the dances were $20. I told the guys "$20 for a regular dance, $30 for a dance with touching". The girl said I was undercutting their business by charging more because one of "her" customers was insulted I wouldn't let him touch me for $20. She said that I could charge $50 for three dances if I wanted to cut a deal (which was laughable because that's not my MO).

I thought the definition of undercutting was "taking away from" which would mean me charging LESS for the same thing they did ($15 dances, for example). I just nodded and said "mhm, mhm" and did it anyway. I didn't refuse to dance for anyone unless they gave me $30, I just explained the $10 fee was a surcharge for what I consider additional services. Also, her customer obviously declined my offer from what he said so I didn't hurt her business. And if she's offering the same thing for $10 cheaper then wouldn't the sale logically be in her favor? I'm just a good enough saleswoman to sell it and get that extra $10. Maximum earnings, minimum energy = maximum productivity and overhead. I think she was jealous that she'd never thought of it and I was the new girl.

I honestly felt like I was a new hooker on the "track" in Atlanta and the veteran hooker was lecturing me about fair market and the "going rate" to keep things fair. And let's be honest, fair doesn't exist in this industry. I think she needed a kleenex, midol, and a box of playtex.

I've argued with girls about this at a few clubs in a few different areas, and they never could really do much about it. It's none of their business really. The only exceptions would be if I was undercharging (i.e. cutting a deal like she mentioned--but she was stupid so cut her some slack), prostituting myself, or allowing touching when it is against club/state/city laws/rules.

A good manager and long time friend at a club I've spent a lot of time at put it like this (and I couldn't have said it better myself):
"Even if a girl in here is sucking dick, she's not hurting your business directly if she's charging more". Now there's some obvious fallacies there, but in a basic sense what he said was true. I just wish the dick sucking wasn't offered where I'm pushing lap dances.

But like I said, I'd never offer touching-for-pay in a club with no-touching laws/rules. So the girls logic was flawed, because if I was her I'd be happy if a guy handed me $30 after getting a dance from another girl who said it was $30 to touch and I was already allowing touching.
If you are willing to do for one year what other's won't, you can spend a lifetime doing what other's cant.

I've heard some horror stories, but I've never had any problems. Had more issues when I was a server with other waiters and waitresses actually. Had issues with chicks in other jobs...never in dancing though.

The first club I danced at, I had some veteran dancers come up to me on my first night and tell me "rules" that weren't true. Nothing that would get me in trouble, but stuff that would mess with my money, like about how I couldn't go up to the tiprail to get tips after the first song...for a couple days I just never went up to the guys at the tiprail during or after the second song and thus missed out on serious tips and probably some dances as well.

I've only been at my current club for a week. After a couple of days, once I established myself as a serious worker and not a diva, the girls warmed up to me, and now we're all fairly friendly. I mean, we were all new at some point, but I'd say that the majority of new girls don't last. About 75% of new girls I've worked with didn't last a month. They would be loud and obnoxious, they'd drink a lot, they'd mess with everyone's money, they'd break the rules, and they would be hostile to any helpful advice. I think that most dancers who aren't divas just learned to let the new girls figure it out for themselves rather than wasting their breath. Of course, there are some bitches out there, but that's going to happen in any industry. I've honestly had more problems with customers as a new dancer than I've ever had with the other dancers...the customers would think I was an easy target and would try to get me to do stuff that wasn't allowed. Newbies always get the weirdos.

I followed all the rules in that club, was extremely nice, tipped out well, and people hated me for that. It's the only good club in California and I had to leave it because I couldn't take it any longer. It's a shame .

Maybe I'm just really lucky, but I've never had a problem being the new girl. Thank goodness.

Everyone has always been really nice and friendly to me wherever I went, and I've work at sooo many clubs in 3 different states.

Reading some of these stories though, I'd be scared to be a brand new stripper! lol

I never get involved in the drama at work. My only real friends at work are the ones I was friends with before dancing (two of my bestfriends started dancing with me about a year after I did). The girls I'm cool with at the club I work at are the mature ones who I see are there to make money and not start drama. Everyone else gets absolutely no attention from me. I'm not rude, I'm courteous, but I do keep to myself and focus only on my money.

If you are a hustler who only focuses on your money, you will [most likely] make money, so of course there are going to be girls with nothing better to do but talk shit about you. For example, there was a girl at a club I used to work at who decided to go around on a day I wasn't working and tell customers that I'm a bitch. My two best friends, my sister, and even other dancers told me about this when I returned. She was telling customers that there is a dancer named Nina who's "a bitch." When one of my friends asked why she is telling customers I'm a bitch, the girl responded saying "because she gave me a dirty look once." The funny thing is, I had absolutely no idea who the girl was and didn't even notice she existed. We now work at the same club again and when I first saw her I didn't know who she was until my sister told me that was the girl who was going around at the other club telling customers I'm a bitch. Lol. Funny thing is, this girl is constantly complaining about how broke she is while my finances are good, so her tactics aren't paying off.

A dancer who is focused on putting down another dancer is not doing her job. When immature girls try to start drama, I go make money. At the end of the night when I've just made my entire rent and their pockets are hurting, I will be glad I didn't involve myself in drama.

When I'm a new girl at a club, I make it a point to be polite and professional so they can see I'm just there to work and not to be involved in drama. The more professional the dancer, the less of a chance that she will be involved in drama, so the drama-starting girls will not be able to affect her. I let that be known when I'm a new girl somewhere.
"Rather have my feet hurting than my pockets."

i had a girl key my car after my 2nd day! to this day, a year and a half later i have no idea who it was or why they did it. probably because i dared to hustle and try and earn money.
on my first day i unwittingly put my things down next to this girls stuff, and she FLIPPED! saying i was disrespectful and then proceeded to wipe down everything with disinfectant * eye roll*

I always avoid everyone as much as I possibly can. I have worked in many clubs in many cities and a few things that have happend are one girl was obviously mad I was working in here club because she would stare at me and wear glasses when I would but take um off when I would and then critique my dances when we were both doin privates, then she would talk to other dancers really loud in the back saying stuff like "These girls here have no personally, i dont see how they could make any $$" this was clearly refering to me cause that is my hustle, to be a bitch to custies and nt have a "personality" untill they spend(it works for me). I wanted to stangle this girl with my heal but as it turns out this club didnt have any $$ in it and the other club in town was wayyyy better so I just never worked there again(bet she was happy, hater)lol. Then when working in urban clubs I get girls who try me with attempting to intimidate me or go off, but I just stand up for myself and that is that in those places(so far), lol I dont want to fight one of those girls but hey if I have to Ive got mace, and I can fight but dont want a charge cuz of one of these freaks(no time for that). Best thing for me so far to do is just not talk to any of these girls cause even if they dont try the above things they will try some fake shit and it will piss me off bad and I get revenge when I am mad, just dont have time to be doin all that when I am there to make $$.

I remember my second day at this one club, I was sitting at the bar and the stage is in front of it. I didn't talk to anyone or know anyone and this one girl goes up for her set. She passes by me, gets a lighter, lights it in my face and I saw the words "fuck you" stickered on the lighter. It was weird as hell. I said nothing.
