Can any UK ladies shed some light into filing taxes as a dancer here? I'm sort of at a loss and don't know anyone who could help, though I may try and ask one of the girls at work.

Anyone? :/

unfortunately, none of our UK members has responded. I know that UK business taxes are very different than US business taxes. There are some UK tax filing comments in the 'Taxes - Is Camming Still Worth It' sticky thread at the top of the Camming forum.
Didn't think to check the Camming Section, thanks Melonie!

Hopefully that thread was helpful. Sorry that I'm so unfamiliar with the specifics of UK business taxes, but I have never personally had to deal with UK taxes.
To be honest it gave me more questions than answers, but they're important questions that I wouldn't have otherwise thought to ask, so that's a good thing! This isn't something I'll have to worry about for a few months, so I'm just going to try and casually bring it up with one of the girls I dance with in a while. Thanks again though!

Hi shanna, I'm no expert and not sure what the process is for [a US travelling dancer?], but what I had to do was register as self employed, then when tax time came around fill in a self assessment tax return.
HMRC website is where you want to be, scroll down to the non-residents section and it may help http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/individuals/m...ml#individuals
However your best bet is to call or go to your nearest tax office and ask them what you need to do. http://search2.hmrc.gov.uk/kbroker/h...or/locator.jsp
Hope this helps!
I'm Canadian but also have EU citizenship. I'll definitely check out a local tax office, thanks for that link! Hopefully they're stripper-friendly.
Feel free to contact me... I have many clients in this industry and can provide solid references.
