Welcome to SW!
I don't know the answer to your question about LA clubs (try "Club Chat"), but as far as advice... this forum is full of advice, tips, and experience coming from strippers and other sex workers over the past decade. My biggest piece of advice is to use the search function for specific questions (chances are someone else has already asked it), and read, read, read.
The stickies in the "Newbies" section are a great place to start. Here are some links for you:

1/ know you're hot. there's a wallet for every good dancer. you're here and on stage because you're strong, hot, and brilliant
2/ don't compromise yourself for any wallet, club, dancer, or anyone. Be yourself.
3/ imo, there are 3 kinds of ladies in the business. those here for the MONEY, those here for the PARTY/SEX/DRUGS, those here for personal insecurities or they think they can't do anything else. In that order is the reasons that are OK to be in the business. If you're category 3, please get another job. The business will eat you alive.

What do you mean with "plus sized"? Plus sized usually starts at size twelve.

Here is what Wiki has to say about plus size: .

"Plus size" seems to be a murky term here. :-/ According to the wiki article "While the reputed 'average' dress size of an American women is size 14, the majority of models represented as plus size are between a US size 6-12; therefore the models do not reflect the average consumer size" So theoretically I could possibly fall under a plus size category.
OP without pics it's hard to tell. What are your stats?

From my experience, many dancers in LA and the san fernando valley are thick or just plain fat..especially the valley. But keep in mind that the Valley sucks for dancing (as in, no customers, and lots of girls willing to do cheap extras). But it's not hard to get hired at most Valley clubs. LA is a little better, but not by much.

It also depends on the expectation of the population. Certain populace is forgiving towards weight and certain populace is not. If you are dancing in France, you have to watch your weight. People have very high expectation as far as slimness is concerned.
