    Default I don't get it....

I don't know if the stars and moon are out of alignment or what! But it seems like lately, all around me, people are a little more closed off, and a lot more argumentative, or just being...off.

Yesterday, a friend of mine posted a thing about child abuse, I guess it is child abuse month and she is heavily promoting it. She posted a status with the picture of a little girl all bruised up, saying her parents should pay and be punished for what they did to her, and deserve to be beat up etc. Well, there was no article or info attached, and well...Im curious and when I want to know more about something, I check it out for more information.

Well, I did find articles about the little girl, but it wasnt child abuse, it was about how she was beat up by another little girl at her preschool. So, I let her know with a link to the article. She deleted my comment and continued on with saying that abuse is abuse and theres no excuse for it, parents should be punished etc. Now, personally, I think it kind of sucks that this kids picture is out there for something like this, and her parents are being blamed for something they did not do, and in fact are fighting for better conditions and care for the kids there.

But yeah, I dont get it. I have seen this happen a lot of times too, where someone takes a good cause, and then uses any method, whether related or not, to have some sort of aggressive shock value...with the idea that it doesnt matter as long as the primary goal is reached. But, here we have an actual little girl, and actual family, people who do not deserve to be blamed for this, and its okay because the final goal is more important that what you use to get there? And yeah, I have seen this general argumentative style in many different ways over the past few, and yeah I genuinely do not get it.

Heres a link to the article btw.

    Mars is in Retrograde:

"...Mars retro in Virgo generates a pervasively hypercritical, perfectionist mood, inclining those most affected toward obsession with minor points, minutiae and overblown trivialities, particularly with regard to healthcare, nutrition and the military. Worry and brooding over more or less trivial concerns will be prevalent. Anxieties particularly develop around the meaning and application of science, pharmaceuticals, chemistry and medicine. Because Mars in Virgo is usually quiet, original and resourceful—and keen to work with others over a wide range of activities—we can expect co-workers and supervisors to be critical toward others and easily dissatisfied with their work during the retro phase. This will be especially noticeable with regard to issues from the past where small but key errors have led to major problems in the present. People in positions of responsibility, trust, or authority will need to watch their backs. Subordinates, employees and organised hierarchical associations such as hospital staff, nurses, union labour and the military are likely to experience significant unrest.

Our efforts to perfect our skills and abilities to impossible levels will confront the imperfections of reality. We need to develop tolerance for such imperfect situations, or we can lapse into an idle and unproductive mode. A proper sense of detail can be lost in disorganisation and sloppiness. Aggressive action, especially stimulated by an inability to see the forest for the trees, will produce loss through speculation and risky business ventures, loss of children, and disappointment or sorrow in love. There is also danger of accident, or violence, usually thanks to carelessness, aggression, or foolishness..."

And I agree, it is very uncouth and dishonest to use a picture like that. Child Abuse is a compelling enough subject that it's really not necessary to use such deceitful and sloppy measures to bring attention to it. People may think it's just a photo, but that is a real little girl out there with a family, and if this circulates back to them and their community, it could be hurtful and humiliating.

I remember reading that article a few months ago, it got posted by someone on my facebook feed it seemed to make everyone go mental, they were saying that the naughty child should be subjected to all kinds of punishments (from what i can tell, the naughty child is literally just a naughty child, too young to be "diagnosed" with any kind of behavioural disorder, and has a mother who is seemingly unaware of how to parent adequately. But anyway, my feed went mental, and then the SAME person who had said that the child should be smacked etc (learn the hard way) was all over child abuse poster sharing, how its awful. I commented how one minute she was all for child abuse if it "taught a lesson" but when there is no lesson to be learned, its bad, how i was confused by her reasoning. I totally got deleted lol.

Have you guys noticed the recent trend on Facebook of people sharing horrible photos of abused animals, deformed children, etc.? And supposedly each like or share "donates" a certain amount of money to a cause? Well it's all bullshit, there is never any money donated based on shares or likes. I can't stand checking my Facebook seeing disgusting, depressing crap on there for NO reason. I doubt those people give permission for their photographs to be circulating the internet either.

Exactly....all points above. I really do not like it and dont think its right at all. There are way too many legitimate cases of abuse, way too many things happening that do deserve attention, to throw up false photos and such. Even if well intentioned and no realization that the photo was not actually child abuse, its better to research and check up on something, actually know what the story is before just taking someones word for it and spreading it out there like that.

To really do something to spread awareness, if she really is that devoted to it and has all that time to post up pictures and posters all day, it would be more productive to post information about what to do if one suspects abuse, to volunteer or do something within the community and share info on how others can help too. That would make an actual impact, and a real difference.

BTW...good to know Im intuned enough to feel this shift, and realize there really is something going on in the universe! I really should study up on all of that.

I saw a few of those pictures too. And yeah it's such a stupid scam. I think I'm feeling the offness as well. I've been a lot more depressed and less tolerant lately. Been venting off some steam on my facebook, but still feel generally pissy.
