I discovered a website when I wanted to send a giftcard to my boyfriend's mum to a restaurant that doesn't do giftcards. The sender pays giftrocket, then giftrocket emails the giftcard to you and you have the option of recieving the payment via paypal, direct deposit or check.
It made me think, that this might not be a bad way to recieve payments / gifts from customers since it is a 'gift' and you can use paypal, but since it isn't a direct transfer from them to you (giftrocket is the middle man) it wouldn't count as an adult transaction, and the risk of chargebacks would be nullified. Also, they don't get any of your personal info except an email.
It may be a terrible idea, I will have to read their tos, but I thought I would share in case anyone else wanted to look into it too.
Regardless, it's a cool way to send giftcards! : D
Their fee is 1$+5% of the gift amount, which doesn't seem that bad

edit: it occured to me that this might be promoting a website. MY BAD
I can't change the title though D:
I don't profit at least?

i wonder if there's any delay with redeeming the gift card, as with some other sites (giving them a chance to cancel/do chargebacks), and what happens if they file a fraud claim/chargeback to their credit card company. i wasn't able to gauge that from the tos.
@ManyRoses i couldn't agree more!!
