when I did 'road trips' regularly, I took a 12 volt cooler along ... with a 120 volt adapter so that I could also use it in my motel room. Besides the costs of gasoline and the motel room, the next largest expense will be food ... and that expense can't be 'cut in half' when two dancers are travelling together. Having the 12 / 120v cooler along will allow you to locally purchase / take with you enough healthy foods to A. avoid having to pay for 'restaurant' food more than once a day, and B. avoid having to eat low priced fast food which WILL cause energy loss plus weight gain if eaten on a daily basis.

If your 'road trip' is only going to last a week or two, the ~$150 price ( with AC adapter ) may be prohibitive. But if your 'road trips' will be more frequent / ongoing, you'll 'pay this back' in cost savings ... as well as avoiding having to deal with losing the 10 pounds you would have otherwise gained from Dunkin Donuts / McDonalds / a local 24 hour 'greasy spoon' diner, etc.

PS as other cost savers, take along extra coffee and filters for use in the motel's coffeemaker. Also consider investing in a Brita pitcher instead of buying and toting around cases of bottled water. And don't forget small package laundry detergent for washing your dance outfits ( there's nothing worse than having to 'recycle' a sweaty, smoky, perfume laden outfit that you already worked a shift in ! ). Dish soap also works OK for hand washing in a pinch ( dry by wrapping up washed dance outfits in a motel bath towel ! ).

Lastly, I recommend one of these ( for each of you )...

... after all, if your trip is successful, by the end of the first week both of you will be carrying around at least a couple of grand in cash. You don't want to openly leave this money in your motel room while you're working ( yes motel staff is going to figure out from your comings and goings that you're most likely 'strippers' ... and may give your motel room an 'extra thorough cleaning' in hopes of finding cash to 'clean up' ). You also don't want to leave this money in your dance bag, since house dancers already know that you are 'travelling' dancers and are most likely accumulating all of the cash you earned earlier in the week. My personal favorites are the 'fake tire inflator can' and the 'fake coffee mug' ... both of which can be 'stuffed' with the night's earnings during the drive back to the motel, and left locked in your vehicle. IMHO this is less risky than leaving them in your motel room or your dance bag - well as long as you're not driving a Porsche, Corvette etc. with a high risk of auto theft ! After all, it serves no purpose to dance your asses off in a club far from home if you aren't able to 'hang onto' the extra money you have earned !

I would also add that if your 'road trip' is going to last more than a single week, that you either hit a bank branch to deposit some of the cash you earned into your home branch bank account, or hit a WalMart / US Post Office to convert some of your cash earnings into money orders. Note that you can't deposit / purchase money orders of $1000 or more at one time without the risk of prompting a 'cash transaction' report being made to the IRS. Also note that more frequent visits to the same bank branch / post office may prompt a 'suspicious activity' report to the IRS as the bank teller / postal worker may spot a 'pattern' of regular cash deposits. WalMart actually turns over staff so frequently, and WalMart workers typically have sufficient lack of 'professionalism' that, if you're 'making a killing' during your week of dancing, you can probably hit the same WalMart up for <$1000 worth of money orders two or three times during the week without arousing suspicion ... and also replenish your 12 / 120v cooler with more healthy, less fattening food while you're there !

It also pays to do a little MapQuest research before beginning your 'road trip'. Obviously you will want to 'locate' the club you will be working at and the motel you will be staying at, but it also helps to locate the nearest WalMart, a nearby 24 hour restaurant, a local hospital / clinic ( just in case ) etc.

Additionally, if you are booking the club a couple of weeks in advance, it's DEFINITELY worth calling the local motels to try and negotiate a discount 'weekly rate' with the motel managers. By doing this I was often able to get a discount 'weekly rate' at an upscale motel ( with an exercise room, pool, laundry, bar / restaurant etc. ) for nearly the same price being charged by bargain motels whose amenities begin and end with a vending machine !

car charger, a DC/AC converter so you can plug your laptop into the car charger port (useful if your phone can be made into a wifi port so one of you can be on the internet while the other drives. Or else useful for charging and watching a movie with headphones for the passenger.)

Coconut oil-- great for disinfecting after a long gross night at the club. Works as a deep conditioner, skin conditioner, oil pulling, and I think some people use it as shaving gel. Supplements/vitamins. Mini ice chest so you can have healthy snacks/meals without having to go out all the time, or else eat on the road without having to get gas station food. gas can. a roadside service membership. A USA roadmap so you can trace your route (more nice to have as a memento, but good to have in a jam if your GPS acts up.) Some travel books of wacky roadside tourist stops. Earplugs. Self-tanner. Eye masks in case your motels have shitty curtains or in case one of you wants to stay up to read while the other goes to sleep.

Oh, and likely your own pillows since some motels have really shitty ones.

Also, while it may not be useful depending on your region, you might consider taking good pictures of both of you, and emailing them to the clubs you're planning on hitting so ya'll can avoid the whole "one girl gets hired, the other doesn't." Plus, you might be able to wring stripper housing out of them, but that's not too common anymore.
    Ungoogle yourself:

    Also, now offering phone sexins!

CALL THE CLUBS FIRST! A lot of clubs are starting to not take travelers. I've actually run into this problem a few times. If you need some club recommendations, let me know!

oh I forgot ... BAIL MONEY ... out of town strippers are prime candidates for 'bogus' busts, since local cops and DA's figure they'd rather cop a plea than go to trial !

A robe... now Im a traveling escort, but if your sharing a room with somoene and they like the room to be cooler than you do, then a robe will make you a happy bunny. Im from Miami, and love the Miami heat..anything less than 75 degrees and Im shivering..but I have to keep my room cool cause thats pretty much what most guys like. So yeah, I always pack a robe..when I forget it, Im absolutely cold and miserable.

I second the bathing suit. The one time I forgot to pack one, I was in a hotel with a *beautiful* pool, jacuzzi and this amazing steam room, which I love... I wanted to cry. I just stood there staring at them and well...wanting to cry.
Don't blink. Don't even blink. Blink and you're dead. Don't turn your back. Don't look away. And don't blink!

I'd bring face wipes (for longer drives on your way home from the club--let your pores breathe!).

Get an AAA membership. It's like $80/year for the mid-level coverage...incredible for peace of mind.
