Thumbs up At home laser hair removal devices--anyone try them? worth it or scam?

I have gotten my underarms and full bikini lasered and its about time that i go in for my touch up. I also want to get my legs done, but as you all know, laser hair removal is expensive in general. Has anyone tried at home laser hair removal methods? I know about the TRIA laser and I also looked on amazon for others and one with better reviews is the Remington IPL I-light pro, which actually has better reviews than TRIA laser. here are the amazon links:

    http://www.amazon.com/Remington-IPL6...3993736&sr=8-1

    http://www.amazon.com/TRIA-Hair-Remo...3993736&sr=8-2

    any input is awesome. thanks!

ha, I asked about this like three weeks ago and got no responses.

All I can say, is buy from Ulta or Sephora so that you can return it if it doesn't work within a month or two.
Ulta also has coupons from time to time AND I saw them selling this instore this past weekend which got me
    really excited.

oooh im sorry i did the search function but it just didn't come up thank u for letting me know about ulta and sephora and their return policy that basically makes it risk proof if it doesn't work!!

from reading the reviews it seems like it works if you follow the directions and know how laser hair removal works so that you have realistic results. Just one brazillian bikini laser treatment anywhere near me is $350 so I figure if I spend $250 and I can use it on my whole body why not try it.

^yeah, I don't mind since Ulta's return policy is two months, so if after that time it doesn't help curb the jungle, it's cool.

also, it's not billed as hair removal insomuch as it retards the hair growth by putting the follicle into some sort of dormant stage??

The reviews do look pretty awesome, even if you kick out the five star reviews and just pay attention to those who say it just
    worked for them 40%.

In my experience, and what I hear others say, those home devices does not work in any way as good as a "professional grade" laser does!
Personal home "lasers" aren’t real lasers either, in best case they’re IPL’s (intense pulse light) which cannot be taken as laser! However, you can experience less hair growth but rarely permanent removal.

Tried one of those ipl machines which I borrowed years ago, didn’t noticed much difference. Unless something magic has happened since, save your money!

I bought an IPL thing with "money back guarantee". First time and last time I get sucked into some Facebook ad. Well I didn't read the fine print, so now I am out almost $200, wasted money. Zero results. Motherfuckers.

I was reading about Tria and it sounds promising. I'm going to buy it and will let you guys know what's what. Only thing is the company is out of stock, so no matter what I have to go through a third party to get it.

I have to admit the Tria laser seems interesting though. It looks like it’s a diode laser which is what they uses at the clinics. If you manage to get your hands on one, please keep us updated!

I have the Happy Skin Co IPL Laser Hair Removal handset and I'm not impressed.
