I had three microdermals put in on Easter sunday, going from right above my shoulders on the nape of my neck, down my spine, spaced out about 1 1/2 inches. I guess I went to some hack job piercer, because two days later I noticed that the bottom one was deeper, embedded into my skin, and slightly angled. I went to a different piercer who told me I could either wait to see if it improved because it could be swelling, or take it out now before it fully heals, then re pierce it in a month. I chose to have it taken out, and he lanced it out. It doesn't look too bad, just like a hole, since the original piercer used a dermal punch and not a needle.
Now, I went to a third piercer to buy some H2Ocean, and I happened to ask about new tops for the jewelry. He looked at my original jewelry I had taken out by the second piercer, and told me that it is a 12 gauge, and all they use are 14 gauge. He said I would have greater difficulty finding tops for this, and tops that match the threading of this jewelry. He also concerned me because he said it could be a lower grade metal.
Now I am wondering if I should just remove all three now, and then re pierce in a month with a reputable piercer and jewelry that I know is good.... what should I do? Are all these piercers just trying to make a dollar off of me?
