When I had consultations for a BA, a surgeon told me that plastic surgery is best when it's to enhance and not an attempt to 'fix'.

Butt implants and a BA when you're overweight is what I think he was talking about... In layman's terms, you can't polish a turd.

Did you just compare overweight people to turds?

I wouldn't recommend surgery for porn to ANYONE. If you want to do porn, just do it. You don't need to get surgery to get into porn. No one does.

If you just WANT surgery and can afford it, etc, go for it, but surgery is NOT a necessity / entry into porn and should never be looked upon as such in my opinion.
You might spend shitloads on changing your body permanently, thinking it's like an entry ticket into porn, and then decide it isn't for you, or give up on it.

I'm sure she just meant to use a familiar expression. Depending on where you're from it's quite commonly used and not something you'd take offense at, as it can be applied to all sorts of situations... For example: If someone were talking about repainting their rotting deck to 'fix it' - you'd use the same phrase. It's not a direct comparison - more of a metaphor.

It basically just means: you can't cover a problem without fixing it and expect a good result.

some of you seem to not understand what sex work is.
lil' wayne made it sound really easy, that he spends every night in titty bars and just throws money at you, and all the attention you'll get from men will cure your daddy problems and stick it to blah blah blah.

the idea of spending 10k on ps before you start dancing reminds me of all the not/under-employed law school graduates who figured, hey all i have to do is give this school 3 years of tuition and then i'll be rolling in it! and now they're fucking up traffic in downtown manhattan with protests and shit.

10k is totally justifiable if you have 10k and you can afford the recovery period and have a home club. 10k is ridiculous if this is a pipe dream.

i can't tell if this is coming out harshly as it isn't intended to. this is: what exactly are you trying to do, and is plastic surgery just you delaying jumping right in and seeing if you even like it? is plastic surgery just you extending this daydream without actually living it?

10K will get you a good neurosurgeon cause you seem to need that more than anything. Or like everyone else says you're a troll, albeit a substandard one.

Ill be spending a bit to get back to work (I need abdominoplasty for medical reasons, so will get my boobs done and a bit of lipo at the same time) but the 10k ish investment will finance a 200k apartment, and 3 college funds before I finally retire for good.

Yeah... that's a good question. Plastic surgery really, maybe for me, to like have all my checks marks off. It's kind of like security that... "I can make it now that I am super perfect".

The reality is... either I have it or I don't. It would take much more than a few simple procedures to make me into the biggest porn star of the 2010s-2020s. It would take a body change. I have it all within me.... just my insecurities taken the better of me.

I really look at myself in the mirror lately, and thought, "There's nothing that is wrong with you". I have a larger size nose, but it kind of "fits". It's not distracting large, but it's not small and perfect. I should had jump into porn when I was 18-19 yrs old, but I let college be one of my distractions. It really sucks you in when.... lol when I was trying to become a medical student, get that perfect GPA, get that MCAT, study study study... then I realize... this isn't me, I want to become a sex symbol, not a doctor. I am just doing this for my family.

I am not today's standard of beautiful. I would be PERFECTION if this was 1915. I kind of look like Mary Pickford and Theda Bara. Especially Mary's mouth.

I better just jump into it right after my body is slim and healthy. There's no better time than the present... for porn that is.

Thank you, that question change my logic about this. I am going to do it this yr, before I turn 21. I just have to serious get on the ball of things, and get my body in gear. Actually I am going to do it 6 months from now. October 1st.

Try camming, if you do well camming, then you'll do well in porn. If you don't do well camming, you probably won't do well in porn.

Really, makeup, working out, and getting your hair and nails done at first should be enough. You can change a ridiculous amount with makeup. Don't like your nose? Look up contouring. I know a few Chinese girls who are so good at contouring their nose they go form a flat, wide, asian nose, to a very, very Caucasian nose. They look beautiful either way, but if they can do it, you can.
I think college is important. It gives you a glimpse of life outside the sex industry. I don't think I could just be involved in the sex industry, it would drain me too much. College isn't for everyone but having a certification for something like a personal trainer or yoga instructor is nice when you're desperate for a break, if only for a few months, and minimum wage isn't an option.
Work with what you have, but remember there is a modern standard of beauty and it will benefit you. Dita Von Teese is very old school, but she does a lot of more modern things too (plastic surgery, shaving pubic hair, working out, ect). If you can work a niche that's great but there's some stuff that's quite universal.
I would try camming in the mean time. You can see what works well, make some money, and find out if the industry is really for you.

I don't understand why you are holding yourself to beauty standards that you may find most commonly in magazines or popular media before you get into porn. You DON'T need to be slim (you don't even need to be "in shape"), and teensy-of-nose to do well in porn.

I make my money as a sex worker partially by being unconventional. This partly means that I make money when porn is flooded by conventionally attractive women who all think that a certain standard of beauty is what all men want. Yes, a lot of men do want to get off over a slim, big-tittied blonde, but there are so, so many men who don't want that, and where there are desires like that, there is serious money to be made by being an exception.

I cut my hair myself. I haven't been to a salon in years. I don't do my nails (I play the guitar, so the nails on my left hand are pretty much non-existent). I never shave or even trim my pussy hair. And when the mood takes me, I let my armpit hair grow. Many people, (especially not those who are only slightly familiar with porn, or even people who are very familiar with conventional porn), may never have thought it, but men love me for this. To them, finding me is a rarity, and so they pay well for it. If I'd have gone for a more conventional look, and gone into camming with the notion that "I can make it now that I am super perfect", I think it would have set me back rather than get me where I am now, because we now have TONS of women who have made very similar alterations to themselves, filling all the same niches whilst others aren't nearly as well populated.

It's all about finding your niche, and you certainly don't need to look like a magazine model to get that.

It would also take a LOT more than appearance to be the biggest porn star of this time. It takes a lot more than looks to excel in porn, as with anything. It needs determination, patience, contacts, marketing... None of these things can be bought; they have to come from you.

Porn is not like fashion or catwalk modelling. Men's fantasies don't all float on the fickle breeze of trends. If you look like a 1915's star, you can niche the fuck out of it and make fantastic money. You just need the mind for it.

Would you really want me as a doctor? I don't think you should into the medical field just for money, but for passion, it's a long hard profession. You are dealing with people's lives. It's kind of like acting, do anything but that, but if you can only do that, then do that. I don't want to be a doctor who is uncaring to her patients just for a nice paycheck.

Would I want you as my doctor? No. Heck no. Epic NO. No, no, no, no, no, N....O.... No.

Should you be a doctor? No.... not unless you want to.

If you have a passion for porn.... then do porn. It's of no consequence to me. But since I am an altruistic individual I had to express my concern and hopefully give you a reality check.

Money is nice, but money doesn't make me happy... I have a boyfriend who pays for my bills (how could I save 10k otherwise?)
Reasonable, responsible, professional people can save $10K without a boyfriend/sugardaddy if they have a well paying job and live beneath their means.

    As for your boyfriend...

I can find another boyfriend like that.... and say sweet lies, "I love you long time". I am not going to waste my life slaving away at the books until 35 after it's all done and said just to make my family happy. I care about them, but I shouldn't have to live a lie.
So you want to live a lie and not live a lie.... I honestly feel that I cannot get through to you. But I want you to know that most of the stuff you're posting sounds nutty, immature, and irrational.

I think she was referring more to the general kind of "No More College + Surgery = Sex Symbol" mentality.

I am guessing that it takes a little tiny bit more than quitting college and getting surgery to become a sex symbol... But honestly, why do you feel you must be a sex symbol in the first place? Why not just hope to be successful / earning? We can't all just wake up one day and decide to snatch the Sex Symbol tiara off the heads of Megan Fox or Sasha Grey!

This is an industry which requires research in order to give you a stable career just as much as any other. I'd definitely advise you do some. Camming would be a great way to start you off and dip your feet in the water.

It comes back to proving my family that I turned out a success, either academically or career-wise. I don't want to be consider a loser ever in my life. Also, I told one-to-many people that I am going to become an international icon, more so when I was younger. I even told my high school teacher I will be a huge star, and I earn an A in that class. I wanted to do that, there was reason, so one day when he is interviewed he will tell that documentary of me, "Yes... she told me this and written this letter to me".

Irrational as it maybe, but I live for the fame.

Oh god... Sweetie, that's not only irrational and unrealistic, but it could be massively detrimental to your well-being and happiness if you just never get famous... It isn't likely that you will, and you will have to prepare for that eventuality.
You don't just decide you will be an international star. You don't even seem to have an even average grasp of the industry you want to spearhead...

The only person you have to prove to yourself, is you. If you have a pre-occupation with getting famous, I'd recommend therapy in complete honesty.

Fame usually stems from exceptional accomplishments.

There are famous doctors. Famous architects. Famous educators. Famous artists. Famous musicians. Famous scientists. Famous engineers. Famous mathematicians. Famous entrepreneurs. Famous philanthropists.

There are famous porn actors. Famous strippers. Famous escorts. etc. too.... But even then, they became famous because of a perfect storm of hard work, dedication, connections, and luck.

99.99999% of people don't just *decide* to become famous. They strive for excellence in whatever it is that they are pursuing. Then their efforts are recognized by their peers and eventually by society in general.

Fame is horrible. I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy. Being stalked, followed, threatened, extorted, used, lied to, manipulated. Those are all EVERYTHING I want to avoid. Have you ever thought of the downsides? There are a million more cons than pros.

A lot of fame-seekers are desperate for attention. They want to feel loved and like they are apart of something. Maybe join some clubs, hobbies, and groups?

While I was never truly 'famous', my 'recognition factor' was and is an ongoing PIA where my private life is concerned. Yes it adds to income potential.

Where pornstars are concerned, I'm talking like Jenna Jameson or Sasha Grey status. Being recognized in public all the time, bothered, followed, etc. Even high level porn stars still say they are rarely ever approached in public and can live a completely normal life.

Yeah I'm pretty sure most families will react completely opposite. While they will eventually accept what you do, they still probably won't be happy or proud and won't tell anyone about it. In fact, they'll probably refuse to talk about it.

Why do you want to be a porn star? If you don't mind me asking.
