Default Alertpay Not Accepting Adult Anymore?

According to PantyTrust, Alertpay is no longer allowing any adult transactions and will suspend accounts if the suspect them just like PayPal. I'm going to look further into this but wanted to see if anyone was aware or got an email from alertpay or anything.

I get so frustrated with these businesses. I had paypal for a while and had a really nice set-up where one guy was sending me rent money every month via paypal in exchange of sending him emails on a regular basis. The I got "busted" and labelled as an "undesirable customer" (yes, their words when I called and asked about it) and paypal shut down my account. Luckily I could access my funds after 6 months and was able to get the rest of the money I had. I signed up for alertpay, but turned out it isn't accepted in the area the rent-paying guy is from. Pretty bummed out on that lost income.

I did learn a few tricks on how to get a little extra money. Some guys prefer to give giftcards or purchase stuff from an amazon wishlist rather than buy tokens- which I don't mind. I basically got my apartment furnished for free because of my wishlist. Although I would prefer the money, I have figured out a way to circumvent the Victoria's Secret giftcards. Around Christmas I had over $600 of VS giftcards. I really didn't want to spend all the money on clothes and lingerie, so I spent about $100 of it on cute panties, a cute little dress, and a nightie. I then emailed pictures of those items to the men who sent the cards saying that's what I picked out (men always like to see the stuff "they" got you at VS). Next, I bought some ridiculously over priced items and spent the remaining $500. As soon as I got that stuff, I returned it (for free), and got a $500 check in the mail a week later. I know it might not be the most ethical thing to do, but I am the type of person who would rather have money than clothes, so this works for me. I don't do it often though. Sometimes models have to get creative . I also got a $500 amazon giftcard from someone, but I didn't really need anything at the time so I regifted it to my brother as a wedding present. He needed it more than I did, and I believe it payed for his graduate school textbooks.

Back to the point - it seems to be getting tough to find a website like PP and alertpay to get funds through. Maybe we camgirls should pool our money and open a website that is accepting of EVERYONE regardless of their jobs. Let me know what you find out about Alertpay.

You could maybe try Payoneer private loads from the client if you have a Payoneer card you use for an existing site.

I looked into Payoneer, but didn't understand how it works. Something about what company do you work for, etc, and I was pretty confused. Maybe I'll take a second look. Thanks!

Signup for a payoneer card via an existing site your already working on, get the card delivered, activate it and get some partner loads to the card, you can then accept payments from most people with a credit card via Payoneers website here

I was also advised by alertpay that I wasn't wanted there . To use their words , I wasn't 'suitable' . Hmmmmm. Not that I give a shit , I've closed my account there, since their security breach almost ended up costing me 1500$ . In a way , I'm glad !

    Payoneer for me for now.

For real? MFC (myfreecams) pays me every 2 weeks via AlertPay, as do many other "adult" websites!? When did their practices change? I'm afraid to email them to ask. Anyone have any solid answers about this? I agree with @Buddysmom - we camgirls need a payment solution! After all, there IS a market -- there's gotta be thousands of us that are struggling with the same issues. :S
@PrincessJenny: do you have to give your customer your Payoneer card number to allow them to load it?

You would need a provider who takes westernunion and checks, and who keeps a separate account system for customers. In that scenario, the processor would have to wait for the money to be wired, or the provider would have to extend some credit (which might be worth it if the extra business offsets the risk of being stiffed).

For example, if I were the processor, each of you would have accounts, your customers would have to pay me by check or western union, and I would have to credit their accounts as they paid me, plus your accounts as you got paid. I would then need a system for dealing with disputes. The easiest way would be to just call it a cash-transfer business with no refunds or chargebacks under any circumstances.

The way these providers are getting, this may be the ideal model. PrincessJenny would probbaly be the one best suited to set something like that up, and she could probably tell you about any downwsides that I may have missed.

I thought they stopped accepting adult years ago. I remember sending my fetish site in for review like in 2010 an they denied it because they weren't accepting adult sites at the time.

I think companies like MFC and ELM get away with using sites like Alertpay because they work off token based economies. AlertPay isn't directly being used to buy morally unsound items, its being used to check out of a vanilla bank account.

AlertPay's TOS says in one place they dont allow adult transactions and in another that those transactions are billed at a higher % So I figure theres a gray area. Selling Porn or having an escort check out button is probably a no go however if your a little more vanilla in what you say your processing you will probably sip though the cracks for quite some time. (That being said looking for a new payment option, should probably be on the to-do-list)

They stopped taking new sellers that offered adult, but they were still allowing adult transactions for already established sellers.

I emailed support yesterday evening I'll update when I hear back.

Generally speaking, the chargebacks / customer complaints / disputed charges which occur with much greater frequency where 'adult' businesses are involved have created enough additional costs and workload for financial entities that they now prefer to exit this business segment.

No, they can pay straight from a credit card here

Only requirements really are for you to have an active card/account and have a partner load onto it. If you use your account regularly then you'll be ready to accept private loads.

This is really a great thread, thanks, @Juliette25! I hope we can all continue to share info on payment methods with each other (not because I'm too lazy to read all the TOS of each & every provider) but because it's so time consuming - not to mention who knows what can and can't be trusted on the interweb... it's nice to have input from experience - TRUSTED experience eh-hemm @PrincessJenny!!
On that note... I'm feelin very 'lovey' today and just wanted to say how much I LOVE this website and all of you contributors who keep it going. Although I'm brand spankin new to the industry, for the first time in my life I feel surrounded by people that actually give a shit about each other and share a common interest!!

Okay so I just called and it went straight to a recording that says 'We're sorry for the inconvenience but we can't take your call right now. Please try your call again later." So I guess even if they are allowing adult business still, they're not worth a shit anymore. I'm not going to list them as a payment processor anymore.
