This is happened to me countless times, but just to give an example, I was sitting with a group the other night. One of the guys seemed really interested in me and had a stack of 20s in his wallet. I kindly introduced myself to the rest of the group, and one guy, (not the one I was talking to) explained that they were here with their buddy, who was a newlywed and had never been to a SC. We'll call the interested guy Bill, the annoying guy Bob and the newlywed Larry.
So here I am, chatting it up with Bill, while Bob is whispering to Larry. Bob taps me on the shoulder and tells me Larry is shy and is looking for a particular type of girl. I'm thinking, "ummm ..ok...." because I haven't even been talking to Bob OR Larry. Bill, however, is actively engaged in a conversation with me and we're discussing what fun we'll have in VIP. Once again, Bob interjects and says, "we're ok for right now, because Larry found a girl he really likes. Why don't you go find someone else?" .......................
I really, REALLY did not want to get up, because Bill was getting out his money.
Larry snatches the money out of his hands and tells him not to waste it, because they're here for Bob, who looks like he couldn't be ANY less thrilled about being there. The "girl he was interested in" was waved over, and she too, was sent away by the obnoxious bastard.
Does anyone else have problems with the annoying, money blocking friend? I've experienced this so many times, and I want to tell them to shut the fuck up and stop worrying about what his buddy does. How do I complete a sale with these assholes interjecting?
