    Default The new Atlanta club?

Diamonds of Atlanta, I know it used too be body tap and staxx atl. It's been getting a lot of promo lately and it seems they have a celebrity in their every night. Any info on it? Would it be a good club for a newbie dancer? It's kind of intimidating to me lol, it seems like a bigger magic city and I heard the girls at magic were mean. And I don't know how to shake my butt but the money looks good!

    Any info is appreciated

    Go for it, try it.
Most, almost all, Atl re-openings are just the same club same owners trying to generate hype.
Body Tap was nothing special just a strip club I'm sure Diamonds is the same.
I saw the coverage on TMZ of someone I never heard of throwing 28K in the air. These appearances are all paid for (no, it's not their money they're throwing in the air) and written off as tax deductions by the club.
Lots of strippers are "mean" but if I had let that stop me... I would have quit in my first month! Lots of girls are very nice too.
You know the drill, just keep your head down & work
I know a couple of girls who went there, they said the money is great.
Nothing to be lost by giving it a try, right?

This might sound rude but I don't mean it that way.

Ok, as a new dancer that can't shake your butt, that is not the club for you. It's a black make it rain type club meaning you need to be able to "twerk" if you expect to get rained on. Just because customers go there throwing lots of money doesn't mean they throw it at everyyybody. They throw it randomly in the air and at girls that they find impressive for one reason or another. Imagine being on stage, not able to dance, next to the girls in this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1FqTq-g4HU You would stand out like a soar thumb. Nobody wants to be THAT girl.

Try working there when you can dance like the girls in the video. That is what customers there like and that is how you make money at clubs like this.

And who cares if the girls are mean. You are at these clubs to make money not to socialize with other dancers. Just lock your stuff in your locker and spend the rest of your time on the floor with customers.

Found an even better video to show you what you would be on stage next to. http://www.worldstaruncut.com/uncut/44617

I know the guy in the video named Jay. He came to where I used to work (Perfections in NYC) scouting girls to fly down there to work for the grand opening. He went to Perfections, Sin City in the Bronx, King of Diamonds in Miami, and Stadium in DC looking for girls to fly to the party in that video. Idk if he has such high standards all the time or if he wanted a bunch of 10's there just for the grand opening but I can assure you, he was scouting the best girls at each club, not the newbs or non twerkers/polestars.

^^yea I know what you mean about sticking out like a sore thumb...it's not always bad though because I'm kind of in the same situation at the club I'm at now but it works in my favor because I have too do less work...the other girls get tipped for twerking/pole work and I get tipped on looks...I literally just stand on stage sometimes (out of laziness mostly lol) I can give a good stage show I just can't shake my ass especially for 3 songs straight o_O

And I've been asked by two different managers at DOA too work there but I've always shied away but I'm thinking now if they keep asking me and I already let them know I wasn't an ass shaker maybe they see some potential?? the first time during the original opening last year and the second time last week idk what they're thinking if they know I can't dance, I might just go up there and start on dayshift living on a prayer hoping I don't look crazy around the pros

also, you guys are right about the meanies...i'm there too make $$$ not friends so I need too suck it up and get over it *puts on big girl panties*

They were also giving pole classes. Not sure if they still do, but that has to mean they are willing to teach/groom if you have the look they want. The top dancers in ATL will club hop, so if DOA isn't bringing in the $ they want consistently, they will go elsewhere. I doubt they have a roster full of 10s,11s,12s every night- then again I could be wrong. If you can get in- it's best you do so and learn alongside the best, or at least ones who can encourage you to get to a better level.
