    Default Anybody try BB creams?

I'v been looking into this asian based product for a while but now that there catching on in america i'm really wanting to try them. Apparently they have a lot of benefits like better complexion, anti aging, much higher spf , along with light to medium coverage. So kind of like a tinted moisturizer with a little more coverage and lots of benefits. I really want to try them but I I would like to know if anyone else is using them or if they know of the best brands to use and if the American products are as good as the Asian made ones.

I just bought mine a few days ago... its the garnier one. It seems ok. Doesnt give me enough coverage for work or anything but Ive been using it during the day. Normally I wouldn't wear anything so seems good so far. Its much like a tinted moisturiser. But considering all the good benefits I think its better than mineral makeup or other light foundation products.

Skin79 VIP gold is Asian based, ordered mine on Ebay for around $14. Be careful because a lot of fakes are out there of it. The pink one is for oilier skin types, the gold for drier. I love the finish and the dewy glow mine gives, but even after it oxidizes on me (they darken to your skin tone, but are meant for lighter tones), it's still about 2 shades light for my face now that I have my spring tan going on. I'm a NW35 if you know what that shade is. I'll still wear it though, and then buff a liquid bronzer all over my face to get it to match. I'd say it covers redness, uneven skin tones, fades freckles, lightens the color of blemishes...but people who have anymore than a couple of spots are not going to be happy with the coverage. Best for "my skin looks great today!" days, then it looks so natural and beautiful.

Who was the seller of your product? I'm looking in to the pink version of the product your talking about and they have it on amazon with very few complaints that aren't seller related so I'm thinking its reliable. How long have you been using it? Have you noticed any skin differences yet? Also this random but it doesn't include shimmer or anything does it, that tends to make oily/combination skin look oilier.

Great reviews on the pink. I have a sample, haven't used it yet though.

Neither have shimmer, but the gold does have a dewy glow...so definitely stick to the pink if you shy away from it. It is not meant to mattify your skin though either, so you will still probably get a glow with the pink, just not as hydrating. I wouldn't say it's performed any changes in my skin except the cosmetic look of it when I apply it. I do feel like priming isn't necessary with it though, so it saves that step. You could also do without moisturizing if you feel like it's enough since there are hydrating properties in it. Don't be shocked at the grayish looking color that pours out or that it looks like a ghost mask on your face at first. Takes about 15 minutes to settle in and adjust to your skin as it oxidizes. I just start on my other makeup and by the time I'm finished, it's changed. Will definitely love it more when I lose some of my tan.

I LOOOOVVVEEE my BB cream!!! Seriously, it makes my skin look dewy and flawless with light coverage and high SPF.

I use Dr. Jart. I tried out the Garnier one but it was too greasy and dark.

It's suppose to be a moisturizer, primer, foundation, and sun block into one. It is also suppose to improve the skins quality over time. There are a lot of different brands though that offer multiple things like skin whitening (asian countries are big on this in the US stuff just says "even complexion") and wrinkle reduction/prevention. It's suppose to be really great for those who want some coverage without the layered feel of foundation and of course the extra effects.

I'm going to have to add some of my tinted moisturizer to it for color purposes because the best color match I have found is a honey beige so if it showed up a bit grey on you it would look odd on me unless i add some color. I found a few youtube videos where woman with dark skin just mixed in some foundation and it worked wonders.

I hear good things about DR.Jart, such as good coverage. From the researching I have done it seems like if I bought the American version of these products I would be disappointed with the coverage and oily effect on my skin.

Oh I forgot to ask, some are suppose to help with acne too. If anyone has acne have you noticed a difference?

we have a huge selection of BB cream out here--and it is an awesome product. However, its really complicated to find one that will match your skintone if you aren't Asian....most of them end up much lighter on your face than they appear in the tube. On the plus side, they leave your skin looking quite dewy and glowy and they have alot of 'finishes' to chose from. Through alot of trial and error, I've found that BB cream makes one of the best bases ever--if you put foundation on top of it your skin looks fucking beautiful. I've tried countless bases and BB cream remains the only one that completely covers my forehead lines (when a light foundation is used on top of it) during those in-between botox months=) I should add that I don't know why, but it doesn't melt or run off of your face the same way some other tinted moisturizers do. It is like, 80-100 degrees and 95 percent humidity year round here, and BB cream is the only thing I can wear during those days when I want to wear some makeup, lol.

Does it feel heavy if you add foundation on top? I hate feeling like I have a lot of makeup on in the day time. I'm glad to hear it gets you threw treatments now I know its a darn good product!

I just got the Skin79 whitening one (pink one) and I LOVE it. The coverage is light, yes, but I do one full layer, and then touch up any pimples or redder areas with some foundation and I'm good to go.

I think i'm going to order one just to try it out, since it seems that you have too try a few out to find the best one for your skin. The Skin79 brand seems to be a good one to try first for the price it is.

Yeah, on youtube I only found one video that praised that type of bb cream. Avid users of asian manufactured creams say that it is nothing like a real bb cream. Also there were many complaints about acne because of the oiliness of the product.

I just ordered the Skin79 brand in the pink bottle, it will be here in about two weeks so I think I'm going to do a whole review if its as awesome as everyone says.

I'm gonna try it, especially if it lightens my skin. Wonder if the Chinatown in Philly sells it.

Oops! Aslinn: To me, it does. You notice its presence on your face when you combine it with foundation. <--this was actually why I stopped combining the two, because I hate feeling like I have on makeup--but it end result looks so flawless that if you are willing to put up with that makeupy feeling it is definitely worth it. I don't think all of their formulas are created alike though...some of them seem much heavier than others. The most weightless feeling one that I have tried so far is the B.B Cream Gluta and Placenta (the no makeup formula). I bought it at a store that sells alot of Phillipino products, so I'm not sure if it is like, actual legitimate BB cream or some kindof of rip off, lol, but if feels great!

I'll keep those two in mind to try regardless if I like the one I just bought. I have liked a lot of phillipino skin products like some whitening soaps and lotions that helped my scars tremendously (some of my scars turn white some get really really dark). Not to mention there food, but beside that thought I would think they would pump out some awesome bb creams.

How long did it take you to get your order? I ordered from the same seller and alot of the reviews say it was early but I was given a month as my receiving date.

4 business days--my estimated delivery was may 7th-may 11th, so i guess it came a lot earlier than the estimate.
