I was thinking of getting this done soon. Would I have to take off from camming? I read it is fast healing almost like a tongue piercing. My tongue healed in a week. Can someone give me the 411?

I've had mine pierced for probably about 10 years.
Everyones different,so I don't think you can really predict how it's going to end up.
But in my experience getting it done didn't really hurt.
The after effects didn't really hurt either...in fact I had sex just a few hours later, not saying I recommend that..but shit happens..lol
Obviously it was a tad sore I'm sure for a couple days. But not enough to stop me from doing anything. Of all the piercings I've had it was by far the easiest and healed the fastest.
On that note I would just be sure you really want to have it done. In my experience it isn't something you can really take in an out, because the hole will close FAST,and that's a bitch.

Thanks, I have my tongue done. Someone compared it to that. I love the way it looks and I want that sensation. I just did not want to like take a week off work because my pussy is too sore. Thanks again!

i have a vch it did not hurt at alli dont take it out for camming.. i have switched it once it healed but u have to have the other ring handy to go right in because the hole closes extremely quick
still here.... just in another chapter..
I use to have a Triangle. It's a piercing that sits deeper than a hood piercing and was more "shocking" than painful. And yes, you will have to take at least a week off from camming, preferably more. Vigorous masturbation or sex will cause ripping and lead to infection. Plus, proper healing time for any piercing is about 6 months. The risk of putting dirty fingers and toys on it is pretty gross so I would just give yourself time to heal before anything like that.

TBH , I found the tongue healing process more annoying - soup and baby food while the swelling went down . The peircing its self I found the tongue to be less painful as I barely felt a thing as it went in . It hurt to pee with the pussy piercing , but the pee should keep everything clean though it may sting for a day or two .
Advice- Keep away from penetration and vigerous cam activities for the healing duration , and keep away from alcohol for the next 6 months !!! It's so exciting when you get a new piercing , and the temptation to go about telling people who then go ahead and ask to see it ..... I remember from bitter experience ... CRINGE !!!![]()
Hope it all goes well xx

It's not about the pain, cause it doesn't really hurt, but it's about all the lube and stuff that should not get there untill it's fully healed.

You're bit meant to wait have sex for 6 weeks or something ridiculous like that. I think we almost waited 2 weeks. No probs. although it probably depends on what you get. I have a Triangle and it's a curved barbell, which I guess doesn't get knocked around as much as, say a vertical clitoral hood hoop.
I have my vch, and for the first week, I could not touch it without a lot of pain. Going to the bathroom sucked. It wasn't like "omg, I'm gonna die" pain, but I can't imagine playing with myself on cam during that period of time... And like someone else said, it's not so much about the pain but the healing process and leaving it alone so as to speed the process and not cause infection. It does heal extremely fast - I felt good to go at the end of 2 weeks, and even my piercer only gave me a 3 week minimum before resuming sexual activity. Save up some money before you get it done, or refrain from masturbation shows for a couple weeks. You want it to heal nicely. Over a year ago, I got my nipple pierced and did not give it adequate time to heal before stripping or allowing guys to play with it during sex. It never healed properly, and eventually started rejecting and I had to take it out. I have several piercings and never had a problem with any of them before that, and I'm convinced that it was from rubbing the not-yet-healed piercing over god-knows-what-germs on guys at the club and letting it be played with during sex before it was healed that caused the problem. A genital piercing will heal much more quickly, so I strongly suggest just giving it the short time it needs to avoid any potential problems.

Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
Once a clit hood piercing is healed, would I be able to use industrial strength vibes on it (Hitachi wand) without issues?

I found this helpful site while researching piercings for myself, thought it might be useful to y'all here.

So....I've been a piercer for a long time...which means that I love answering the piercing questions!
First off, you need to be more specific than "pussy". There are around 10 different female genital piercings - some are fast healers, some much slower.
The most common one is the hood, which can be either vertical or horizontal. Horizontal is more...decorative, while vertical is more functional, so if you are looking for increased sensation, go for a vertical (commonly done with a curved barbell. I would never do this with a ring, though I have heard of some people doing it. Rings as a whole are more difficult to heal in almost any piercing because they move around more during healing , which slows the process.
If you go for a vertical clitoal hood (VCH) you most likely don't want to cam (or at least, stick to non-nude) for a few weeks. They are fast healers, although no piercing truly heals in a week. They may look and feel healed, but it will take at LEAST a month to go through the first two stages of healing, and longer to toughen in to the surrounding tissue. A VCH will usually take 2-4 weeks to look/feel healed, and 6-8 weeks to be fully healed, so it is one of the fastest healers.
You would want to stay off cam for AT LEAST the first two weeks. Ideally, you don't want to be putting lube etc near it or bumping it around for 4-6 weeks. The risks include: infection (true infections are incredibly rare, but DAMN they are nasty if they do happen. If you are doing anal, you may well be touching toys and getting trace amount of poop on your fingers, then touching the fresh piercing. Really bad idea! lol Other than that, you will slow the healing with constant friction, and risk tearing. Hoods are also fairly prone to rejection, and screwing around with it in the initial healing can increase the risk of that happening.
Just keep it clean (with an unscented, undyed liquid soap and warm water) and treat it nicely for two weeks, then go gently after that!
In terms of pain, its a very sharp shock for about a second, and then it usually feels like you have had it for years - its very rare for it to be sore or painful during the healing unless you are touching it. But obviously this varies from person to person.

Also - in terms of sensation, it will briefly throw you through the roof! But most people actually find that after a few years, you get used to the heightened sensation and it just feels...normal. But it does mean that less-than-experienced guys can find it every time!! LOL
And YES you can use a hitachi with a genital piercing once it is healed!! Absolutely!!

Yeah I would love to get mine done by her too. That site really made me think twice about just popping into a local shop and having someone do it without seeing their credentials. That's one piercing I wouldn't mind going through the extra trouble and money to make sure it's done right!

Elayne Angel is a phenomenal piercer!!
That said, this is actually a pretty easy piercing to do, and a VCH (being much simpler to place than an HCH) is actually pretty hard to fuck up!!! It is one of the easiest piercings to do, so I would be more likely to walk in to anyone on this one than on a septum, for example. (Waaaaaay harder to pierce correctly and STRAIGHT!) For genital piercings, it is actually the easiest by far to do, so I would be more concerned about finding a specific piercer for a christina or a fourchette (not that I actually want those) or a triangle (which I do want).
That said - absolutely talk to the piercer beforehand!! Get an idea of his/her background, capabilities, etc. And ask which tool they use. Tube, yes. Clamp - run like the dickens!! And for the "rarer" piercings, go to a shop in a busier city, because they will most likely get a higher number of the piercings in, so the piercer will have more experience.

That's actually really not that odd at all!! I've done so many hoods where women came in in groups/pairs etc - a huge part of it is moral support, not just during the actual piercing, but after as well. When you have had a genital piercing with a friend, it tends to make it more comfortable to talk about it afterwards, compare notes on healing, sensation, etc. (at least, this is what my clients have told me) And I think that it can be really scary for some women, so going in a group alleviates the tension and means that the "brave friend" can go first and reassure everyone that it really isn't that bad!!
And honestly, I was thinking about it, and I don't actually know how it is POSSIBLE to screw up a hood to make it a surface piercing, unless you are using clamps, I guess. The way I do them, it would be physically impossible to have that happen. I have, however, seen a situation where a larger woman had a very recessed hood, and another piercer screwed up and basically gave her a surface piercing ABOVE the hood. That one was weird, but it was easy to fix at least (remove incorrect, pierce correct. They were so far apart she could have theoretically kept them both in!).
Elayne Angel's site just makes me feel like a seriously capable piercer....yay! lol
