i read you're supposed to declare what you physically earned regardless if you got it yet i.e builders who invoice months before they actually get paid

My accountant would be happy to help you. Hes away in spain this week but if you want his details let me know. He's a friend of mine so knows what I do and doesn't judge, much! but yeah, I give him the figures that go into my bank account. not the figures on ur credit turnover or ur credit statement as if your on daily pay you can deduct that fee/if you get international bank transfers they also take a fee. So just go with whatever number hits ur bank account.

Also, if your in the uk why do you have 3 weeks left to file? You should have filed april 2010- april 2011 by 5 jan of 2012 LATEST. Or you will be incurring penatlies. and tax return for april 2011-april 2012 is due 5 jan 2013 latest! x

When I was doing it I saw you can set up your own personal tax year based on when your business started or whatnot. I thought it would be simpler to use the 'official' tax year.

Your gross profit is ALL your income. Your net (taxable) profit is your income less your expenses.

With my Adultwork and MFC income I enter the amount I receive (already less deductions) in my accounts on the day it loads to my Payoneer card, likewise the Payoneer fees incurred.

The goverment tax year ends on 5th April...the accounts you submit will be for your tax year which ends within this year...it can mean you're paying tax on earnings from almost two years previously, so it is always ito have your year match the government's.

My husband and I submit our returns online on April 6th, althought this year the HMRC online system was down for maintenance. All done now, though and tax in savings account to be paid in a couple of weeks.

I do want someone i can be totally honest with though because i want to know EVERYTHING i can claim for! The period i'm claiming for i wasn't on DP, so my first payment was 3 weeks after i started work, then every 2 weeks after that till the end of the tax year. But the pay was from 2 weeks before if you get me? So do i just count the money i physically got paid into my bank account BEFORE April 5th 2011, or do i need to include the payments i requested but hadn't received yet? Sorry for so many variations o nthe same question lol, it's just going to be complicated enough explaining to an accountant let alone the tax man should i mess up and end up with an inquiry. It's also further complicated by the fact that i had 2 PAYE jobs i that time period too and haven't got a clue where my p60's are lol!

I started feb 2011, and only just registered self employed so that's why i am filing for that year now. I already talked it all through with them and there is no fine in my case woohoo.
I understand exactly what you are saying but I have no idea as I am on daily pay. I would suggest just phoning HMRC to ask them to clarify on this point. You don't need to specifically tell them you fuck yourself for the money etc, just explain that you make the money 2 weeks before it's made available to you in your bank account.

When I have phoned them I have found them to be friendly and helpful, even on the days just before the end of the tax year. Phone them, that's what they are there for. Not something you want to make mistakes with. Xx

Still looking for accountant recommendations from uk girls - camgirl, stripper, escort, doesn't matter, just want an accountant who has dealt with some aspect of the adult industry. Thanks everyone x
I don't use one. There is an accountant on AW, will need to check his name, but he's used a recommended by a well known girl x
