I went to apply to work on Hustler (Hustlerlive) and got basically the same answer. Check out the conversation. It looks like a good way to lure girls into thinking they will work for Hustler, when it reality, it's just Flirt4free! No chance of working on Hustlerlive (the Hustler site).
Hello,
I see that you have completed your application process at VS media as our new performer. You are now only steps away from broadcasting and making money.
My name is Bojana Novak and I am your Broadcast manager with the VS Media network. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me, by e-mailing me back.
I, also, see that you are only steps away from becoming active, and broadcasting. You do not want to miss out on some good earnings, so if there is anything you are having trouble with that’s preventing you from starting, let me know.
Welcome to VS Media, and I am looking forward to working with you.
Sincerely,
Bojana
Broadcasting Department
I replied:
Hello Bojana,
Thanks for your e-mail. I do have a few questions, actually.
Why do I have to go through an agency and how much am I giving tha
agency then, out of my earnings? Currently, I work as an independent
(no agency) and always have, since 1997. Excuse my naivete, but what
exactly do you do for Hustlerlive?
I see that the site Hustlerlive doesn't appear to have much traffic on
its platform, according to Alexa, Compete and a few other sources. Are
the girls' earnings reliant on them bringing in their own traffic?
What commissions are offered, in this case?
I have used the handle "amanda36c" online since 1997. No chance of
obtaining that handle for use on Hustlerlive, is there?
Thanks for your help.
So she responded:
Hello,
You would be working directly with us, so you would not be going through
an agent. As far as hustlerlive goes, we put the girls online for people
to go and chat with. I am not sure why you think there was no traffic, I
just went and there was at least 150 models on there. Out main site is
actually flirt4free.com and that one has more traffic than any of our
white labels.
We do not allow numbers in stage names, so unfortunately we cannot allow
amanda36c.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Bojana
I responded:
I went to search traffic stats for hustlerlive.com, which is the site
that I thought I was signing up to work on. It was there that I
clicked to sign up and got redirected to vs and I guess where all the
confusion started to set in.
That site shows so little traffic, I couldn't understand how they
would even be in business! I'll have to check out flirt4free.com then.
So, to get this straight, it wouldn't be hustlerlive I'd be working
on, rather flirt4free, right?
Thanks for your prompt response.
She responded:
Our main site is flirt4free, and then we have thousands of websites that
broadcast parts of the main site. But, yes, looking at the site itself
would be good, so you can get a better feel.
Thanks,
Bojana
And that was it. I didn't bother pursuing this further, though I have to commend her highly on getting back to me each time (and promptly, I might add). In the end, it came down to payment. I wasn't working directly for Flirt4free and they would have me on a "sliding scale", explained like this:
"You are on a sliding scale of 26%-35%, which means that you start with
$1.60 per minute of Standard private chat (60 credits per minute). Also,
for all credits earned in tips and VODs you get $1.60 per each 60
credits. If you are doing well, we can add Premiere Options to your
account, so you can earn more per minute."
All I needed to know. C'mon, for a site with so llittle traffic (her response to that was to note that she saw 150 hosts online - HOSTS), you'd think they could pay a little better than that. Successful websites have their own traffic. Period. There is one sure way to run a camsite into the ground: don't supply traffic to it. I don't care what the commission; hosts will go where the money is, so if there's no traffic, they will leave. I often wondered how some of these sites survive but then again, that's easy - some won't think twice about taking your content and selling it elsewhere, where they do send traffic to and never have to pay you a dime. So why the fuck should they send any traffic to us? Apparently, I'm the only one seeing this though. Noone really gives a damn, therefore, nothing will ever be done about it.
