Pole dancing is generally a very minimal (if that) component of being a stripper. You'll quickly pick up the dancing you need to know while on the job, and just as a forewarning it's more sexy posing and movements rather than proper dancing like ballet or hip hop or whatever with routines. You will likely encounter bitchy coworkers and rude customers, so it's important to develop a thick skin and not let their comments get to you. London can be a tricky city to work in because there are SO many girls and clubs, but being little and Asian is definitely going to work in your favour!

hi shanna, thank u for your reply... whew!!! hopefully i can handle the nervousness, its so intense, i been counting the days now jezzz... May 8th will be my 1st audition, i plan to audition 4 or 5 clubs in the same week and IF i get a choice of offers then i will accept the one that i get the best feel for. Do you think thats a good approach? I have researched as much as i can about lots of the clubs in london and think to get hired in as classy a club as possible will have better rewards. I don't really want to be working in a club with sawdust on the floor lol. working as a stripper is no different to any job really (i hope), you always have people u get on with and people u don't and u get out of it the effort u put in. I don't really drink alcohol, do u think some clubs will see this as a negative?

Don't worry about being a non-drinker. Club managers will appreciate a sober dancer. Most clubs in London will let you order drinks "with a straw" eg can I have a vodka & soda with a straw? Just means a soda. That way the customers think you're drinking.

London is a tough place to work. Since you're new you'll get too much competition in the big clubs like Spearmint Rhino and Stringfellows. I'd go somewhere like Secrets or FYEO they are still 'classy' clubs but run around 50 girls a night instead of the 100+ you'll get at SR or Strings.

    Good luck!
