Argan oil is good...though your hair will look oily if you straighten it. Don't use a ton though. You can buy this at Sally Beauty very cheaply.
(I'm not AA...but I do have black hair. Haha)

Chi Silk Infusion. They have a generic version at Sally's for way less money. A little goes a longgg way.

Ughh gonna be hard for me to give advice on this, I'm mixed and my hair is a b*tch in the humidity... I'm really liking Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Styling Treatment Oil , paired with paul mitchell super skinny balm. Try a flexibale hold hairspray maybe?

Have you tried any of the mixed chicks products or any that hold a lot of moisture so you can wear wet and wavy styles? I mean, if you go that route at times, you really don't have an issue since your hair "looks" like it's wet, so if you sweat, etc your hair won't get frizzy. Also, I'd relax before I went that way if you do get overheated your hair will still look amazing. I like using design essentials products, very lightweight and keeps moisture in your hair without it looking or feeling moist. Also, check out www.longhaircareforum.com and do a search for humidity in the search box, you should get a ton of forums on tried and true products. Have fun in Guam, my first cousin was born there, BEAUTIFUL place!
If you mean afro textured hair i.e 3c-4b hair type then if you relax then go on and get a fresh touch up or whatever you may need for straight hair.. Kortney has a good point too about the wet n wavy styles. Have you thought about a sew in weave or wig at all?
Also a good product is Aveda Anti Humectant. Humectants are things that attract moisture to your hair so if you are trying to avoid that, then i suggest that product and a head scarf.

You know what Negra, I was going to mention a wig or half wig but I figured it's going to be too damn hot and her head will be itching by the end of the night lol. I forgot about a sew in, that's a good idea, low key and all...just make sure you can moisturize the hair underneath (braids?) somehow so again, you're not scratching your sew in out because of oil and sweat. That can drive a girl batty and mess up a weave quick!
