    Default Touring in New York

Have any of you girls toured in New York? What was it like? Is it better to choose an incall where all the offices are? Are certain days better to visit than others? Did you stay at the same hotel throughout your stay or switched after 1-2 days.

I browsed through the NYC visiting ads on Eros. Most of the escorts did not list the exact dates they are visiting. Anyone know why that is?

I will most likely be there at the end of next month and would love to meet someone in the industry. If you're a local and would like to meet, please let me know.

I have toured NYC. I made a killing WITHOUT an EROS ad. You do not need eros to make good money in NYC. There are other resources. Best days to visit for me was Monday-Friday.

I would never recommend staying in any city for more than 3-4 days. IF I were to spend a week in a certain city , yes i would switch hotels. I get paranoid after seeing a certain amount of guys. NYC hotels are expensive. I only stayed at 4 or 5 star hotels in the NYC area. Look to spend at least $300-$350 a night for a hotel. Airbnb is also a great site for rentals.

Thanks for replying. How many clients did you see daily? Where did you advertize? Did you do outcalls too? NYC traffic is probably horrible at all times.

I probably will see clients for 3 days and wonder if I should switch after the 2nd day..

No I did not do outcalls. I never do outcalls when I'm traveling. I saw 2-3 clients a day for at least 2 hours each client. I could have seen more but that's as much as I could handle per day.

I remember reading that you don't do review boards so it wouldn't fit your business model.

^^ I was looking into Airbnb recently but I saw in the reviews section of quite a few different apartments, people were saying things like "my host checked on us frequently" or "our lovely host was always around to offer directions or tourist suggestions" and I'd hate to have someone hovering around if I was staying at their apartment for this. Anyone had any personal experience with this, particularly in NYC?

that was not my experience using the site. Simply tell the host that you want privacy and you will be ok.

I've had good experiences using Airbnb in NYC. There are hosts who are out of town, or who are apartment managers renting out furnished, vacant places, etc. If you're doing mostly incalls I'd read descriptions carefully for doorman buildings as that might be an issue depending on your schedule level.

Hotels in NYC can be *very* inconsistent with what you'd expect for that star level in other cities sometimes, so read reviews closely, expect a smaller room, and you might plan to bump up your usual star level just to stay in the type of place you usually would.

I think SWOP/SWANK NYC probably has some stuff going on at the end of May; there's Red Umbrella Diaries at the start of June as well if you'll be in town. Fun times and a great way to meet other gals in the biz.

One more thing about airbnb: If the listing says there is a doorman - do not book it!! You don't want a situation where your clients have to register or a doorman grills them about what they're doing there. Again if the building has a doorman - pass! Lots of alternatives.

Good tip, I noticed a lot of those actually while scoping out the NYC apts... Its a good tip for hotels too, whenever I book I always read reviews to see if they have any mention of elevator key access and such. The less hassle and he less issues to deal with the better.

I know ladies have done those with no problem, but the one time I booked a hotel that had key access, my key didnt work in the elevator, and then it didnt work for my room, and it was a whole clusterfuck while both the guy at reception, and the manager were trying to help me out, carried my bags for me, made a whole fuss... As someone who didnt want to bring any attention to myself, that was *the worst!* lol So yeah, I want a guy, and myself to be able to come in and out without anyone noticing.

An older post, yes, but I've a question...

I'm considering a NYC visit, and have looked at Air BnB, but how do you get around the issue of all the linens you need? If you're travelling, you certainly can't be carting around multiple sheet or towel sets.

In this way, a hotel would be better. But then in a hotel, you may have to deal with key card access, so a BnB would be better. Really not sure which is the better way to go. :\

An idea would be to buy extra linens (maybe 3 sets, depending how many clients you plan to see) and get a building with a laundry room then you can wash once a day. I would think you would only need to change the sheet itself right (fitted sheet)?
