Search Should I sign up for this Cover Job just in case?

The cover job in question would be "affiliate marketing". I've met some new acquaintances and on the spot, I've told them that this is what I do for a living. Later, I checked it out and saw what affiliate marketing actually was (you sign up for an affiliate program with an online company, post their banners on your website or forum, and get a cut of the profits every time someone signs up/buys product through your link). There are no start-up costs, and I was wondering, if I ever needed to find a vanilla job in the future, this might be a good thing to put in as a filler. Also, if anyone at any time is curious about what I do, it would be a lot easier to show them.

So has anyone ever signed up for an affiliate marketing/similar job, and what does it entail?

I have been interested in this myself. However even though I have gotten information from several affiliate systems to work for I seem to never get my ass to it. Maybe I'm to lazy to post things or maybe I haven't figured out the proper way of going about it.

You can tell someone that you do afflilate marketing and not have to show them anything since it can be done through Twitter, commenting on other people's blog posts and millions of other ways that I am sure that I am way to lame to think of.

I am not sure how you'd show that on a resume though. I guess if you chose an vanilla affiliate company an push their site in your free time.

For me, it just seems like a whole lot of work for a cover story. I just tell people that I do data entry remotely for a friend who is in the computer security business and that I can't discuss what data I am entering because I am a under non-disclosure agreement. I actually very rarely get to the NDA part because you mention 'computer security' to the majority of the population their eyes roll back in their head so fast out of boredom they can't wait to change the subject.

I use to work in affiliate marketing and really, you just tell them you're self employed. There's no "boss" or anyone who writes paychecks to you. I still tell people I work in affiliate marketing. When they ask further about I tell them that I advertise and promote women who chose to work in the adult industry independently.

If they ask further I just name some well known girl (Susan Wayland as an example) and say I market and promote her site for a percentage.

I wrote and did affiliate work for clients found locally and on freelance sites. I find it to be an excellent backup for family and acquaintances when they ask what I do or where this money came from. Since I am very familiar with the work and what it entails I can say, for example, I got a new client/contract, paying $2.00 per 100 words, writing about scholarships for minorities, or bankruptcy or holistic ways for prevent fleas on cats - they want 20 articles, 500 words a piece and I have 5 other mediocre clients also at my standard $1.00/100 words rate. Since having done this before camming I can count on the experience of writing for great clients such as 5 sets of 3 articles on financial topics, 250 words at $60 for a set and know what I can makeup realistically as fake work for what I'm really doing. Since camming I have pretty much quit writing but I think I might like to do it during my spare time/day time for extra bucks. But when I am doing well I can tell my mom that I have partnered with an excellent business, makeup some topics and number and it's done. When I look for a house/apartment I can, in detail, explain what I do without hesitation, even though it's not what I do anymore.

Since my boyfriend is on unemployment and we are in debt I have him write on my account to back up records of writing, blackout who I recieve payments from on payoneer (for privacy of clients ) and have a good history. I also find on certain sites there are a lot of people who are seeking adult articles. I wrote a set for a man on everything from how to give good head, how to make your wife happy to the anatomy of men/women. I prefer the adult stuff because I feel like I can make a difference by saying to be comfortable with who you are, your fetishes, it's OK to like "blank blank" but to it safely and legally. I hope that some of the readers of my articles will find solstice in knowing it's OK to be a little freaky, there is nothing to be ashamed of - if you want to get tied up OK, have a safe word and there are many out there who enjoy it too, to be open to your partners fantasies. Assuming that people reading how-to's on sex are looking for info regarding or are new to their partner's/or their own fantasies.

I have also dabbled in marketing, back linking, promotion, etc. If I qualify, I apply and typically score the job because of my awesome history on a particular site. If you want any extra info on where I write, how to score the job, w/e; pm me. As camgirls most of us know all about SEO, professional etiquette online and so on but I am here for anyone trying to get started or who has questions.

There are many different campaigns for affiliate marketing. And they can change all the time. You could pick major ones like weight loss or online dating, etc.

I really don't think many people would pry too much, but I also don't think you can really use it to "prove" you have a vanilla job either...you'd be self-employed as you are camming.
