    Duh DRUNK MESS=Customer loss

    I really never drink at work. Last week I screwed up in so many ways. It was a rough mental week. I had finals and a root canal. When I went in to work Friday I guess I was already in a bad mood and looking for an escape. My first customer in VIP was fine. I got the money was professional etc. My last customer is a regular that comes in every week to see me. He is very sweet. I made the mistake of drinking way too much. He had gotten me a bag of Godiva chocolate. When we went into VIP I have no idea what happened to it. I also mispaced my cell which had all my customers numbers and was prepaid so there are no records. I was so preoccupied with finding my phone when the night ended I did not collect my money for the room. We also had a new host that did not keep proper records and our manager was on vacation. I have accepted that I can not get the money from the last room. However I am greatly disturbed by having my regulars numbers lost. I have gotten a new phone with the same number. I wish that the last customer would call or text. I want to apologize for my behavior. I know I did not do anything sexually however I can be quite the drunken mess. I assume he was equally as drunk. I am worried about losing this whale customer that comes in every week because of my drunken stupidity. Do you think he will call?

    I think he'll call, especially considering you were drunk and he'll probably have a creepy moment and want to "check on you." However, I do think it's a little douche that he just let you walk off without paying you. All of my regulars had/have the automatic response of paying me without me requesting it. I wish I could preach about collecting money upfront, but I know it's a touchy subject with regs who want to believe you trust them. Still, it's a little strange to me that a faithful regular wouldn't attempt to stick the $ in your hand. Anyway...sooner or later, you'll see him or hear from him. When you do, just explain that you lost your phone and thus his number. When you do it, give him some extra affection, like you've missed his precious phone time and you were desperately waiting to hear from him. You know, rub his ego a bit....and maybe even pout about "losing the money he gave you," and he might even "re-pay you"

    If your regular comes in every week, then no doubt you will see him again next week and have the chance to apologise. You may think you've done something stupid, but perhaps you were not actually acting as messy as you thought (and if he was drunk too, he may not have really noticed). Also, he still has your number-so, if he doesn't hear from you I'm sure you will get a text asking when you are working next etc...

    Thank you. Olive you were right. When he called me he said he did not know that I was drunk and I was fine. Also my phone with my contacts for customers was found. The housemom locked it up with my chocolates. The 200 still gone...however at least I can make it back. Thank you for your post.

    shoot, I would ask him if he paid the VIP guy and then when he says he doesn't know, say something like, "oh, because I never got the money" *sadfacesadfaceSADFACE* and see if he ponies up.
